Before this tournament I would have, but following the events in Marseille and being in the main square when it all kicked off, I've got my doubts I will now.

There's rumours of a Leicester fan seriously injured after the events on Saturday and hopefully he will recover ASAP

It is true unfortunately,he is in a coma at the moment, there is thread in Euro 2016.

We are all hoping he makes a quick and full recovery.

Being honest, having see the levels they are willing to go to.

No won't get me out there now.

Same here, was all set to do every one of the aways but if we draw one of these ill pass on that one.

The home game won't be much better either.

I wouldn't fancy it at any rate, but I imagine it's quite unlikely we'll meet a Russian side.

CSKA are in Pot 1 with us, while Rostov have to get through two qualifying rounds as an unseeded side who'll need to beat sides like Ajax, Shakhtar and Porto to make the group stage.

I'd be more worried about Napoli away to be honest; it's a dangerous city to strangers without football, leave alone the famously stabby ultras.

Hey coatsworth999

Rostov had a great result in Champs League...

In Amsterdam the other night against Ajax they drew 1-1. So I'm hopefully they will win in the return leg. Then City'll have a chance of travelling out to the Don to see them.

Again, I'm probably one of the only Leicester fans that seems to want this to happen though. I think most are cheering on Ajax for the possibility of an Amsterdam trip...

:wes:

Additionally, with my Silver membership I'll probably have more chance of getting a ticket to the Away game if we play Rostov than Ajax in the group stages...

Cant see a problem with obtaining tickets to Rostov if they get past Ajax. I'm praying that they dont.

A 12 hour trip from heathrow including a 3 to 4 hour wait at Moscow airport to go to a City on the edge of a war zone in one of the most corrupt countries in the world with unhinged hooligans will  not have the same appeal as a couple of days chilling in Amsterdam.

And for the weather watchers among you I believe it gets a bit chilly.

Rostov would be a horrid trip, wouldn't be keen on Beskitas either, and then there is the boredom of facing another trip up to Park head, Pot 4 looking a bit of a minefield at the moment.

But that's what being in Champs League is all about boots60.

Russia is not one of the most corrupt countries in the world! It's comfortably mid-table in corruption rankings...

Rostov is not the same proposition as Moscow in terms of hooligans. In fact there are strong parallels between Leicester and Rostov in footballing terms.

Fair enough zealot. I'm probably looking at things from a personal perspective. After waiting all my life for a crack at the champions league, like every other City fan I just want the whole experience to be enjoyable & memorable for all the right reasons & a trip to Amsterdam sounds a lot more appealing than Rostov.

Because there is no history of Russian hooligans traveling to different countries to let alone another part of their own to beat the shit out of innocent England fans. Nope, can't remember that happening.

Why anyone would want to go to Russia is beyond me. Moscow? Pre-war, no hooligan issues, sure, wouldn't mind seeing the Kremlin......but Rostov?

Rather take my chances in Naples with a Ranieri Roma shirt.

Instead of a scarf and goodie bag hopefully the owners will supply travelling fans with a metal chair.

That would be a waste of time though, all the videos I've seen of thugs throwing chairs couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo, they went nowhere near where they were supposed to go lol

one thug even threw one and it went up the side of a building, like standing on the first tee and slicing it straight into the hedge.
