Guest Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Chuka umunna and Hilary benn are very decent, I have no idea why they aren't right at the forefront. What are they waiting for? Hilary Benn is a winker
Dr The Singh Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Hilary Benn is a winkerThat chucky is winker aswell
Guest Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Fif and JTF are surely one and the same person I couldn't be that moronic if I tried. You and Moose on the other hand ...
Guest MattP Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 It's going to be some sight seeing the misogyny of the hard left in full flow if May does get it. No social media in Thatchers day.
theessexfox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 May's never going to deliver what the Brexiteers have called for. The vote called for real, unambiguous change. Not some political sleight of hand designed to change little in reality. Already she's mentioned not ditching the Human Rights legislation but that's as big a part of the problem as other things. Leavers clearly want out of the EU, out of Free Movement and out of the clutches of the European Court. Not some contrived piss-take that doesn't return our independence at all. The ECHR is an entirely separate entity to the EU, the question on whether to scrap the HRA and thus not have the ECHR in UK law is a separate issue to that of the EU.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/674489/Home-Secretary-Theresa-May-says-Britain-benefits-Sharia-Law Here's one of the latest things that this woman has said
Thracian Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 The ECHR is an entirely separate entity to the EU, the question on whether to scrap the HRA and thus not have the ECHR in UK law is a separate issue to that of the EU. Thanks for that. I'd still want out.
Thracian Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/674489/Home-Secretary-Theresa-May-says-Britain-benefits-Sharia-Law Here's one of the latest this this woman has said Is she suggesting the law of the land can't uphold every woman's rights in the UK? If not, why not - and on what grounds should any other authority be sanctioned because there are others too, besides Sharia? Could I go to Iran or Saudi and ignore their laws in favour of my own preferences? I don't think so. But "fairness" doesn't seem to come into it and, really, you have to admire their mindset when it comes to progressing their ideas in the face of any and every setback. It's their way (or no way) in Muslim lands and both ways elsewhere while expedient and serving of the greater purpose - an attitude which seems to be continually accommodated for whatever reasons. Truth is I quite admire such strategies, and I mean that sincerely. It takes a certain strength and a collective unity of purpose as well, as broadly laid out in relation to Muslim responsibilities on the pages of the Holy Koran, if memory serves. This is supposed to be Great Britain. Our country with our laws. But some residents seem to be more equal than others where the law's concerned. Take this for instance while we're speaking of Sharia. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11715090/Rise-in-Sharia-marriages-prompts-polygamy-fears.html One wife for me, two or three for others. Just another penalty for getting on a bit? Or should I be grateful! The paragraph in Northants' link that disturbs be most is this: "A lot of Muslim women I know say that the men in their communities just laugh at this proposed investigation, that they will go underground so the investigation will have to be very robust.” In other words, if things are not run as some Muslim men wish they'll just ignore the law and go their own way - with every chance Theresa May won't mind much if it clashes with the concept of religious freedom. What next - designer religions for all!."Yes, officer I admit I touched 140mph. But my angel was telling me something important and the car's so quiet at that speed and my concentration's much better when I'm clear of the traffic." 'Okay son, no problem. But for God's sake mind the angel when you hit that pedal' Anyway, irrespective of any further debate I'm now more convinced than before that I don't want Theresa May as prime minister because there's no way I'd believe she'd handle Brexit properly. She's never been on the "Leave" side and I've no confidence she will ever genuinely represent the views of those who are. Get Andrea Leadsom in and let's get on.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 If any of the remain campaigners get in, then David Cameron may as well stay. It wouldn't be overly good for the country, but they will still have to negotiate an out deal, but probably will struggle more, than a leave campaigner would. However, out is out.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Is that supposed to be funny? No, but that Satan is sure a character though!!
Great Boos Up Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Imagine the backlash if William Hill put satan on the odds of the next opposition leader. The more hypocrisy, bias and hate I read the less I respect left wing politics.

Great Boos Up Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Imagine being upset by this Good point, I'm over it.
Buce Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Another blinder: I can't believe IDS is only the same odds as Satan..

Guest MattP Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 That's so shit and unfunny it's embarrassing. Yougov poll today shows why it can't be Gove, 22 percent positive 57 negative among the general public, that's almost Corbyn bad ratings. May and Leads on both overwhelmingly positive, 55% and 60% positive.
The Guvnor Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Interesting comments during the newspaper review this morning on Andrew Marr show, May has the majority of 'party' support but they are very interested in hearing more from Leadsom, a dark horse gaining considerable ground amongst the Conservative party, would invoke article 50 straight away and get on with business, in my opinion exactly what is needed now.

Guest Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 So one campaigned for remain and the other campaigned for leave but was quoted as saying leaving would be catastrophic (or similar) in 2013. Get a Beleaver in.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 "As the BBC reports, Crabb is proposing to create a £100bn “Growing Britain Fund” that would use government borrowing to fund infrastructure investment. Crabb would put money into projects including flood defences, a national fibre-optic broadband network, Crossrail 2, social housing, school buildings and new prisons, and he and his ally Sajid Javid, the business secretary, believe this would create “hundreds of thousands” of new jobs." Seems very similar to a John McDonnell policy that has been widely derided by the Tories. Could Crabb be a Corbynista fox in the Tory leadership chicken coop, perhaps?
