GaelicFox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Last night was one of those great sporting moments , a moment few sports get to deliver ! Wales like our own club have proven with hard work ,commitment and a small sprinkling of star dust anything is possible ! Wales you have so much to be proud of , the dignity and sportsmanship of your players , the powerful and magnetic support from your fans , has contributed to one of the all time great stories in sport. In all this hullabaloo we should spare a small thought for Gary Speed and his family , Gary was a vital cog in getting this story written , the demons that drove him to his very sad death have been extinguished , they have been replaced by a whole nations loving determination to create a legacy that fittingly remembers Gary and his enormous contribution to wales. RIP Gary , never forgotten. Wales , we all love you , and we all want you to go and win it now , well except @@ScouseFox So please Go and do it Boyo's
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Yeh fair play to them. If only our lot were as half as bothered as those Welsh players last night
Crinklyfox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Wales achievements with players that play in the same league as most of the England players put England's poor showing into perspective. When the FA looks at how to improve England's chances in the next tournament they shouldn't use the lack of a mid season break as an excuse, no matter what other merits that may have. Wales have beaten teams with better individual players by using the right tactics, giving it 100% and playing as a team.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Nah balls to that. I gave them credit last night, they ain't having any more. It'll just be adding Fuel to Finner's bonfire anyway.
GaelicFox Posted 2 July 2016 Author Posted 2 July 2016 Our Welsh foxes are living a miracle this year and it's not ending anytime soon !
filbertway Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Our Welsh foxes are living a miracle this year and it's not ending anytime soon ! What does that mean? Superb stuff from Wales, all I feel jealousy that they have a good manager who seems to care and is getting the very best out of what he has at his disposal. I really hope they beat Portugal.

Raj Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Yep it's BRILLIANT. Must admit I thought they'd struggle before the competition but fair play. Just like City it's not about individuals!!!

Thracian Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Have already sung the praises of Wales but am more than happy to sing some more! Fabulous achievement, fabulous example and a fabulous performance as well. .
Guest Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Happy for Wales. A team of prem relegation level players plus a world class player and Ramsay, playing as a team and knowing what to do when. As bad as Williams has played this competition he had a decent game last night. Has he finally found his way out of Mahrez back pocket?

Haha I'm with you now, I thoguht you meant they had actually contributed in some way. Our Welsh fans may as well give up football after this season as it's unlikely to every get any better. Unless of course we win the Champions league and Wales win the world cup in 2018
Countryfox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Was the only one in the pub shouting come on you Walloons ! ... Cus apparently my dad's family came over from that region a few hundred years ago .... Funnily enough have got over the defeat this morning. Now my mums from Scotland and her ancestors apparently were Vikings so I now support Iceland ....

Cymru comes from Cymry, brothers. Says it all.
DB11 Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 I literally couldn't care if Wales win the Euros. I'm not jealous, or thinking what could have been if England didn't bottle it like Spurs, I'm still just thinking nothing will beat seeing Leicester win the league* *And now I sound like a Forest fan always referring to winning the European Cup when anything good happens to someone else

Live life , live football and for Christ sake let your soul light up and swallow in the passion of this great and varied game ! viva la Taffs
Fox92 Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Fantastic achievement and if we had that sort of quality, passion, teamwork, determination then we'd have got further than losing to Iceland. That's where my praising stops though; don't want them to beat Portugal.

Fox92 Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Love it! We will be thinking of you. Eh, listen, best of luck. You rekon I want to see Wales in the final of a Competition when we've already been knocked out? No chance!
Nalis Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 Really hope those Wales fans delayed thanks to the Eurostar made it last night.

ousefox Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 The pub I was in sounded like it was in Wales. Everyone delighted for them. Great performance. Hope they win it.
DennisNedry Posted 2 July 2016 Posted 2 July 2016 The only reason I don't want Wales to win it is I couldn't stand all of the comparisons to us winning the league. Wales winning Euro 2016 would be a huge achievement yes, but they've only beaten one good team so far in Belgium (who had an off night), and with a poor Portugal side in the semi's they could conceivably win the cup having only beaten two good teams. Hardly the same as us winning the PL over 38 games and 9 months of football.

It's a sprint not a marathon, so if someone's a bit slow out of the blocks, virtually anyone can have it on the day.
