Tough decision though regarding that disallowed goal, a lot being made about pawson in this match but don't think he's done a whole lot wrong despite the fact we all hate him

The difference was a few inches, called from over on the touchline.  The chances of a human getting that right 100% of the time are nil.

(1) Expand video review (2) Put a lid on conspiracy theories.  (Which -- well done bagging a sitter Koke -- are already filling up half of the match thread on Blue Moon.)

I don't see why the Hawkeye thing can't be applied to the whole byline including the goal line, would be another few arguments solved for good.

Shite game this.

I agree, only incorrect call in the game has come from the linesman, and that is a tough call as initially I thought it was out (sorted by video ref though...)

So we know its the wrong decision yet can't reverse it?

Tell me again how VARs are bad for the game?!

It's beyond defending. And, again, another London club benefits. Again there's no doubting the decision was wrong. There is no visual evidence whatsoever of the ball  fully crossing the line and going out so it couldn't have been seen - only guessed at because of the swing of the cross and the Arsenal hand being raised in appeal and, doubtless, the reaction of supporters. Where is there any logical reasoning for failing to apply the technology and a fair decision?

That was better...  But yes, Arsenal winning in extra time or penalties would be okay - (I think my wife would agree ;) )

Is she a gooner?

This is tin foil hat stuff.

You can support video reffing without thinking that it's absence is a London-centric conspiracy.

Sigh.

I like the way this has opened up.  So much more entertaining this half ... and a lot more energy being burned.
