Its a shame if either of these leave because of this, but i think we need another striker. The club doesn't seem comfortable spending 23M+ for Slimani but a proven goal scorer like Mario Gomez for 7M would be perfect for the short term. I think we also need another RB. Wolves have come into some money so i don't think we'll get Iorfa and United look like they will be keeping Fosu Mensah. Hopefully Claudio can use his contacts and find us a rough diamond instead of shoehorning Amartey there.

Mario gomez is a good shout but he'd be on a hefty wage (more than Mahrez and Vardy).

Not the Leicester way he's had over 3 mins. If he has not cut it in over 3 mins he never will. Shame really but the 3 min rule has never been wrong has it

Mario Gomez is a great shout. I don't think his wages would be that crazy but it all depends on the players ambitions. If he wants to try himself in the premier league then we would be the only club who would be potentially interested, who can offer champions league football. 

 

Always been  impressed when seeing him play for Germany. Courses defenders a lot of problem in the box. Either him or Slimani would be the only replacements I would like to replace Ulloa. Anyone else & im not interested.

I'd be reasonably happy (with the proviso that Mahrez is staying with us). I think we have strengthened our team as long as Mendy and Musa step up to the plate, I'm really excited by the prospects of Gray and Kapustka tearing the opposition new ones. Would be delighted if the transfer window had already closed and the speculation ends regarding our players at least until the next window.

I just want us to strengthen RB. Hernandez and Amartey are central players and I presume we signed them because of their performances in the middle. We need another De Laet type of player there.

People like Amartey, Schlupp, Musa, Kapustka can all cover different positions as well. The biggest issue is only one specialist right back, I think we see Hernandez and Amartey being cover there. But lose Simpson and get an injury somewhere else and suddenly hole start to appear.

 

As it is Benny, Chillwell, Was, James, Ulloa and Kapustka won't be getting on the bench week in week out. Having too many more missing out could start to cause issues.   I think we can probably fit one more player into the squad, any more after than and I think we'd have to ship people out to make room.

James should not be given a squad number. Not anywhere near good enough. Fat, injury prone, can't shoot, and his passing is woeful. 

 

We really need to step up our search for a quality CM. King doesn't cut it either. Mendy looked okay against United.

I had been advocating for Kovacic all summer, unfortunately at this point being so young I think he would have trouble adjusting and integrating himself into the squad in a timely manner.

I think if we want to replicate last season, or be near to doing so, we gotta sort the midfield out. We need a playmaker. We don't really look to have one.

I think we need to change our midfield ideas/system to work with the new players. I think they're good players and it'll work for us. I'm more worried about our need for a top class RB who can handle being "helped" by Mahrez.
