Other thing to note is that he doesn't travel well, and will be going to the African Cup of Nations. It took him a month or so in the Great Escape to get any form back.

Barca gave us so much space out wide numerous times and I'm annoyed we didn't win. Defensively we were horrid but we had enough openings to put 6 past them easily.

I understand that but I think there is a lot of negativity toward him (across the different threads) which is rather over-exaggerated.

He's not a referee, he can be criticised for having an off game.

We were playing against an amazing side who outclassed us in the first half. We improved 2nd half through some battling as much as anything and Riyad is not a battler. It's not like he hugs the wing all game, he loves cutting inside from the right, that's the main part of his game in fact and he often ends up spending large portions centrally. But he drifts in and out of games at times, we know that, that's just the kind of player he is.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 3 August 2016 Posted 3 August 2016 Pretty doggo in the first half, don't know why Claudio plays him behind Vardy so often. It worked once against Villa, the worst PL side this decade, and has done nothing since.
