Mahrez Vs Barça

Positive if he leaves is all his crybaby fanboys will go too. I'm also a fan boy but jesus christ don't get mad when random people critisize him on a fan forum.

I didn't even know Mahrez was on til he chased down a ball about 15 minutes in. He looked rapid, faster than usual. Other than that, he didn't do a lot. And I like it like that, hopefully makes people outside the club think 'maybe he's not that special' and they leave him alone.

I understand that but I think there is a lot of negativity toward him (across the different threads) which is rather over-exaggerated.

Are you for real?

Most on here would probably give their missus up for the night if he asked.

Nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade, he struggled last night, but we move on, and a reasonable amount of sensible chat regarding him needing to make a decision on his future as well, the uncertainty cannot be helping his form.

He is a class act. One of the most skilful, if not THE most skilful player we've ever had.

He scores and creates a tonne of goals. This doesn't stop the complete tool who sits behind me berating him constantly for being a "lazy bstard"

Gifted players like Mahrez do sometimes go missing for periods of games. That is the price you pay for their genius.

Just because he didn't play well last night (I didn't watch the game, so am going on other's reports) doesn't mean he's suddenly become shit.

probably letting it get to his head, he just needs to knuckle down and work hard to get back to his best and show people what he is capable of.

So much over reaction. Jesus wept.

Guy plays against his idols, gets a bit nervous, is a bit crap, is disappointed.

No story. Move on.

Everyone's seemed to forgotten the talent he has, almost like the goal against Celtic has been erased from everyones mind.

One thing that i've realised though is that there's no inbetween with Mahrez's Football, it's either brilliant or barely even noticeable

Where have they?

Every post I can see on here basically says that he's one of our best ever players but he was just crap last night.

Not well liked?

Then calls someone an imbecile?

The irony is thick.

Mahrez needs to to put pen to paper here or somewhere else and then crack on with football. Clearly distracted at present.

Just so so we are clear, the majority here thing the guy is awesome, but shit performances are just that and it will be discussed.

He's never really impressed me in the middle, he's always best served out wide and as has been said, he'd have had a field day there tonight frustratingly. Barca gave us so much space out wide numerous times and I'm annoyed we didn't win. Defensively we were horrid but we had enough openings to put 6 past them easily.

The more I see of our team the more I think our attributes suit 4-3-3

A front three of Musa - Vardy - Mahrez utilises our best three forward players. Musa has played left sided forward for CSKA and allows us to get both him and Vardy in the team. Mahrez shouldn't have too much defensive responsibility that he does in a 4-4-2, he's not great defensively but brilliant offensively.

Mendy apparently suits playing in front of the back four, I've yet to be impressed by him but he said he wants to get in the French national team so he must have something about him.

Drinkwater was brilliant against Barcelona, works very hard with lots of energy and his passing was sublime.

Maybe bring in another box to box midfielder or Kapustka may fit that role? By all accounts he has amazing stamina and has quality on the ball, maybe a box to box player in front of Mendy would suit him and more of a licence to get forward than Drinkwater?

People can't seriously contemplate not starting him against Hull can they? He was out of position against the best side in the world in a friendly. Vardy was equally as quiet and I'd not say dropping him is the right move.

It's the classic case of everyone saying pretty normal stuff but the FoxesTalk psychopaths taking it one way or the other.

Schmeichel

Simpson Hernandez Morgan Chilwell

Mahrez Mendy Drinkwater Gray

Musa Vardy

3-0, statement of intent.

I think a 4-3-3 would work with those three up top but then you've got no room for Gray, Kapustka or Albrighton, let alone Shinji (who I thought looked great last night) and Ulloa. If you're playing 3 up top then your 3 in midfield have to be a bit more defensively minded, so would have to be any three out of our 'conventional' centre midfielders, DD, Kingy, Mendy, James, Amartey.

And people say we have no strength in depth lol

I hope he's still with us to start the game and the rest of the season, even though it was a mare showing from RM. State of RM's mind with all the speculation and uncertainty may well be an issue that CR has to consider with his team selection.

He's one of the best players we have but it is obvious he gets distracted by transfer talk about him.

You can tell when the windows are open in my opinion he dosnt play as well as he does or can.

I think we'll batter Hull. They're easily the worst side in the league at present.

Hull would comfortably do a Derby if they didn't have team spirit.

The squad (whats left of it) all get along really well apparently. Similar to our bunch in that they do everything together.

We should really hammer them though. That Abel Hernandez is rumoured to be off to Torino.

Again you're saying Leicester fans but we're talking about 0.01% of them commenting on a forum.Nearly all the rest love him and know how good he is.

Even the one's making negative comments on a certain perfomance are sometimes valid .I'm sure if you trawl through Arsenal and West Ham forums you'll find the same sort of thing when Ozil or Payet have a off day.
