Midweek game behind closed doors

Recommended Posts

I think we need to organise a friendly midweek....possibly Tuesday behind closed doors at the KP against lower league opposition. Were not sharp were not on the ball and we need to work out who our best team is. I don't think we had enough games in pre season either...thoughts?

We'd be like the non-physical appearance of Fake Vardy.

I'll be Birch - run around like an old fart, talk shit and blast the ball over the bar - before going in for a drink.

Seriously though am I the only one thinking that pre season was useless travelling to america to play one game....then Sweden to play one game....playing teams that were far to strong for us and not having enough friendlies.....f### all this sports science shit and playing with a back pack monitor....it didn't work....it was all about ££££££ and not about getting is ready for a title defence

Yep I agree, shambles of a pre season, what's more frustrating is I'd imagine it was forced upon us.

Being birch that won't stop me hitting the ball over the gates.

I say we play it in front of Sliding Doors..

In one scenario we win the Premier League

In another we lose one game and now we're shit!

I agree with you.

Those glamour games against PSG and Barcelona left us out of our depth chasing shadows for 135 minutes.  We didn't get any of our game going and just got schooled.

If we had played a couple of league one/championship sides there would have been far more opportunities to get our own game together.

A behind closed door game would be ideal but all domestic leagues are up and running, I doubt we could get anyone to come.
