I think due to his location and the lack of time now, there is very little chance this will happen, which leaves us (in my opinion), a quality CM short! I would be trying to get a last minute deal with an English based CM. The one that stands out is Sissoko. Not sure of any others. Very happy with Slimani but I actually always thought a CM was the essential signing we needed. Amartey/Mendy/King/Drinky it is then..

Well if you listen to what the sporting fans are saying, we are sending our medical team to Porto. So I'm not surprised if they're isn't any news as who's gonna know who our medical team is?

I really doubt that we'd miss out on a deal worth tens of millions of pounds because the target can't get to Belvoir Drive by 11:00. Medicals can happen anywhere and do not need to happen by tonight.

You'd be surprised at the amount of deals that don't get done in time and as far as we know SP aren't that fussed about selling their captain, even if we do meet the release clause, so could be slowing things down in an attempt to scupper the deal. I just think we would be hearing a lot more about this one if anything was happening. Hope I'm wrong though!

It only takes less than a second to put pen to paper, and we have hours left of the window. All they have to then do is fax, email, MMS a picture, the deal page to FA and it is done. Both sides can leave it to the last minute to try to get the best deal possible. From what I've read, this is on.
