Genesis1 Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 As in the title, assuming we did carry on with bad form, that's a big if of course, would you rather go into the Europa league or go completely out of Europe? Those being the two options.
Guest MattP Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Europa League, more potential for great away days and still a chance to win a trophy. Surely no one can feel any different?
Genesis1 Posted 13 September 2016 Author Posted 13 September 2016 A few people aren't too keen on football on Thursday then again on Saturday.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Not in that group. Frankly it would be embarrassing to come behind Bruge and Copenhagen.
Captain... Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 100% Europa League, finishing bottom of the weakest Champions League group ever would be a lot worse than continuing our European tour. This whole playing Thursday and Sunday is a bad thing is bollocks.
davieG Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Surely going out completely will give other fans and especially the media the golden chance to say 'I told you LCFC were shit /flash in the pan etc' With the group we're in which is universally seen as one of the easiest it would be somewhat embarrassing to do so.
purpleronnie Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Any chance to continue in Europe is fine by me. It might be a while before we play in European competitions again so...
urban.spaceman Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Would still be thrilled with it. We'd still be in Europe for fvcks sake!
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Wouldn't be my preferred option but I'd certainly get over it should it happen. As long as we don't finish bottom I'll be vaguely happy
lcfcfoz Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 no i want 1st or 2nd in the group we have, anything else is dissapointing
Buzzell Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Why the hell would you not want to see Leicester play in Europe?
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Of course, I'd like to see us do well in the Champions League but yeah, I wouldn't mind us being in the Europa League. It's still European football and there's a chance to go far in the competition.

Those being the two options. What a bizare question. How about this one, 'if we continued with our bad form, would you rather finish fourth from bottom, or get relegated and start again', or 'if we kept on being really bad, would you rather just go down to the Championship, or right down to division one like we did before, so that we could try to get promoted in suiccesive years.' Anybody else got any really silly questions?
StanSP Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 I wouldn't be happy that we'd be going in to Europa League based on the group we have found ourselves in - I feel like we can get out of this but by doing so, qualifying for the knockout stages. IF it does happen and we do qualify for Europa League through finishing 3rd, I'd love it. More European football for our team and most importantly, us as fans, and an opportunity to travel Europe even more - possibly different cities/countries.
biggs Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 The negativity in this question riles me. Have you seen the group we're in? Do you believe we are not capable of moving on? We haven't played one game yet. I suggest you'll see the spark of last year going into these matches. The players will be buzzing. I have no thoughts on failure this early on and believe in this team to rebound from the slow start. I also expect to win this group or at a minimum be top 2.
Wymsey Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 What MattP said. Wouldn't mind dropping down and winning it year-on-year, ala Sevilla.
FoxinNotts Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 If we dropped into the Europa League, won it, CL next season, and we survived in the prem, that would be seen as a great season. Any other scenario involving dropping out the CL in group stage would be sh*te
Genesis1 Posted 13 September 2016 Author Posted 13 September 2016 Ok, some people have gotten this all wrong, I was simply at the Manchester derby on Saturday and I heard many Manchester united fans saying they'd rather not be in the europa league and simply concentrate on the league because and to quote 'Football on a Thursday and a Saturday is too close' I simply wanted to bring that topic here. No harm in that.

Thracian Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 I wouldn't mind the Europa League. It would perhaps give us a better chance to adjust to the demands of playing a "big club" football programme because at present, while being a wonderful adventure, Champions League's probably a step beyond the level we can consistently maintain as a club at this time. If my views are confounded I'll be delighted and it would be a major achievement.
yorkie1999 Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Stuff the Europa league, European cup or nothing for me. To win it in the same year that the country is no longer in europe would be even better, just so they won't be able to get the cup back.
sylofox Posted 13 September 2016 Posted 13 September 2016 Oh ffs four games and we are on the ropes quick throw in the white towel.
