kingcarr21 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 It will most certainly be Steve Bruce if Allardyce does get the chop. We really are a laughing stock haha
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 On the bright side Sam, 100% win record.

I mean it's nice to see some real journalism for a change, and not just clickbait and stories about celebs! Yes, it's sneaky, but good, people like this should be exposed for who they are no matter what it takes. The fact is the only way they'd have bothered setting him up is if they knew he had meetings like that all the time, otherwise he'd be dead suspicious! Same, one guy in the bookies earlier called it lazy tabloid journalism, seemingly ingnoring the fact it was a ten month investigation by a broadsheet. We should be pleased we have things like this to expose the corrupt people in our society. 3 hours ago, foxy boxing said: so the knives are out to get him already, that didn't take long. be honest how many of us if we were offered a brown envelope wouldn't take it. it's the part and parcel of the game we don't see so when we do it horrifies us I would be pretty confident I wouldn't if I was being paid 3 million pounds a year to manage my country.
GaelicFox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 He should have been sacked the moment he gave Rooney a free role !!! He he will be back at Sunderland or West Ham by Dec
Vlad the Fox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Can anyone there was an investigation on channel 4 (I think) a few years back focusing on managers tapping up players and taking back handers, redknapp was secretly filmed telling an agent he would love a certain player, also sam's agent son for some dodgy dealings. At the end there was a secret meeting set up with a manager who they intended to expose as corrupt, if I remember rightly the programme more or less implied it was sam, or I got that impression, the manager in question got spooked however and didn't make the meeting. Today's news doesn't surprise me.
RoboFox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Allardyce is a disgrace. He deserves to be punished. Embarrassed. Humiliated. He should be managing a team of second-rate losers. A team who are so low, so s**t that he has no hope whatsoever of enjoying any success. Hence he should carry on as England manager.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Chico Flores seems to be enjoying it quite a lot
davieG Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Football for sale | What the Telegraph investigation will reveal The Telegraph began investigating corruption in English football last year after receiving information that specific managers, officials and agents were taking or receiving cash payments to secure player transfers. Over the coming days the Telegraph will detail how: The assistant manager of a high-profile football club accepted a £5,000 cash “bung” Ten managers were named by players’ agents as taking bribes to fix player transfers Two well-known managers discussed becoming ambassadors for the same fictitious firm as Sam Allardyce Another high-profile manager admitted his players broke FA rules by betting on their own games but he failed to report it A senior figure at a Premier League club helped undercover reporters to formulate a plan to bribe managers
Wymsey Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Hopefully Ranieri or Susan Whelan will come out and make a short statement in that they do business under the terms and conditions. Can't see LCFC being under the spotlight for the above type of things. If the paper releases any names, it's going to be chaos and could affect many clubs.

adam Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 And he has gone. Madness. Hate to think who is the next manager. Probably be Steve Bruce
Vacamion Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 I posted in another thread that people saying Eddie Howe now would have said Pardew 2 years ago and Aidy Boothroyd a few years before that. Personally, I'd give it to Southgate and just permanently lower our expectations.
bovril Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Just give it to Sherwood. We're so bad we might as well have a laugh at the same time.
VLC86 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Anyone else thinking we will be involved in this? Seams a few links from Allardyce to people who do/ have worked at our club. Also, the Telegraph have said 8 other managers are being linked. One of them is nailed on to be someone else with links to someone who used to work for us. Big coincidence that Nigel Pearson got suspended today, obviously not linked of course.

One wonders why a man would be so venal as to risk a position he declared he had been waiting to take up for so long. The answer is greed, envy and an inner insecurity - the latter evidencing itself in unnecessary disparaging comments about other members of his profession. It isn't enough for him to be paid an annual salary many of us would not earn in a lifetime. The reality is that no amount of money would satisfy his need. I've long abhorred the FA structure, which seems to value position and power above the needs of the domestic game - which is crying out for reorganisation. This is why no manager who values his independence and beliefs would lower himself to occupy this tainted throne. Righto
