Without Vardy in the side they are not being forced to hoof it aimlessly every time hoping and actually playing some decent stuff.

Ranieri is not a stupid man and must have noticed this and when Vardy comes back into the side he will have to adapt to the team and not vice versa.

That's not Vardy's fault only, Albrighton's and Drinkwater's passing and crossing have been woeful prior to this game.

Kasper is fast becoming my favourite ever City keeper. I never thought I'd see better than Mark Wallington tbh

If you think he's played many forward passes then yes you are.  He's playing well, but needs to take note from how quickly Drinkwater moves the ball forward.  He's killing the urgency going forwards.

It's not all about forwards or backwards or sideways or whatever, but choosing the right pass. Obviously King isn't our playmaker, that's not his game. You don't need two of them.

And anyway, observe. Screenshotted this at half time.

Bear in mind that King isn't fighting Drinkwater for a place in the team. They'll play together. Therefore they have different roles in the team.

Hope we dont resort to hoofs now, unless it is actually towards someone.

Shinji still on so hopefully similar to last season. Looks like Claudio has realised it's slim or vardy instead of both

Definitely best since Flowers, maybe even better.
