Waghorn should have knocked him down a peg or two by whopping him one.

Too many kids are total bellends these days and are all talk.

As he walked back you knew he was begging the kid inside not to say it again.

What is a square go some Scottish slang or something.

I think its like squaring up, yeah. I read it 3 times before coming to that conclusion rather than that the author can't write.

Typical Joe Public ready at the drop of a hat to criticise a footballer.

I am on about both the poster, and the lad here on the video.

Person who happens to be a footballer going about his daily life buying fish and chips and gets abuse.

What would you do if your walking down the street and someone you have never met gives you abuse? Come on, what would you do when it comes completely out of the blue?

Maybe you will play the "he earns loads of money so should have given him his autograph" card.

Then people come on and say things like "never liked him", yet know very little about him as a person.

Then the player will get abuse down the line for not engaging with fans outside the ground etc.

So come on Mr Poster, or others, tell me what you would do if someone calls you stuff in the street?

Just on Waghorn, always seemed a decent sort of lad. Think I picked him as man of the match once and he was genuinely thrilled to bits. He brought his family along and you could just tell how pleased he was.

You know what I thought, I thought young lad trying to earn a living, and it's great to see a youngster do so well, and his family so proud of him.

I didnt get to know him, but I heard decent things about him from others.

I supose because he wasn't the greatest player I could call him etc, but nope, just a lad trying to make his way, make a living like we all are.

Why are people so bitter towards people who work hard and try and do well?

Jeolousy perhaps

I wasn't being entirely serious.

You know it's only when someone points out that people South of Berwick and Carlisle don't say stuff that I would say myself (although I'd only say "square go" when talking about others, of course) that I realise that I've lived here a very long time and am thoroughly jockified.

Waggy should have pulled the classic footballers manoeuvre and dismissively waved a wad of money.  Oh, I forgot, he plays for The Rangers.

I often get lip from school kids. I do what any person that isn't a degenerate does, laugh and walk away.

and yeah, as a professional footballer you'd think he's be more prepared for abuse (being called shite is hardly abuse is it?)
