Least Enjoyable Season?

This season i have had a completely different view on us. In previous seasons when we lost i used to be fuming and wouldn't get over it for a few days.

So far this season when we have lost i've not been nearly as angry. I just don't seem bothered about losing. Last season was the pinnacle and i don't think we will ever top it in my lifetime. So now i feel like i'm playing a computer game. Completed it last season and got the platinum trophy and i'm now on another play through. I die against a boss, meh. I've already completed it.

I'm sure given more time i will get back to how i used to feel but this season i'm just not near as bothered about the Premier League.

Other teams fans laughing at us and our position. I couldn't give a monkeys. Last Season will live on forever and can never be taken away. Laugh all you want. You will never experience what we as Leicester fans experienced last season.

So this season its one of my least enjoyable because i don't feel as interested as i normally do. It's a strange feeling.

Does any of what i've wrote make sense or am i a babbling idiot lol

I have been on here long enough to be fluent in babbling idiot, so I understood you fine

Yes!

But glass half full and all that...

Seasons not really started yet, even though we're a dozen games in - all feels a bit stop-start and no rhythm.

All part of the deal, though, I suppose

For me last season was the least enjoyable ever.  We HAD to win every game, the pressure was immense.  It was our one and only chance of being premier league champions which was just a crazy and ridiculous thought.  To be on the cusp of glory was agony but we bloomin well did it!  I enjoyed the games in retrospect and have wallowed in the glory but at the time I hated every minute.

Obviously 07/08 was as grim as it could ever get but during that season we were that shite that during games i didn't expect anything

Last season as ****ing tremendous as it was, I couldn't bear to watch from march onwards!  I literally was going to games and watching it through my hands like some horror film! The tension was killing me and even kept me awake!

that said if I could relive either the 07/08 season or the 15/16 season again, I know which one I'd pick :)

It was horrendous from Man City onwards, but in a way that's what's contributed to my feelings this season. It was nerve wracking and gut wrenching, but it felt all consuming I couldn't think of anything else pretty much 24/7. Wins felt incredible though, a point felt like the end of the world and a loss to Arsenal felt like my dog had died. The feelings were magnified 1000 times... going through such highs and lows every week.

Probably why going back into a season where deep down I knew it was unlikely to last, it felt like something was missing.

There's a certain amount of apathy with regards to this season, the emotions are different, toned down or practically non-existant. A bit of numbness comes into play.

It's so hard to top last season in terms of enjoyment, but that shouldn't detract from the fact that we could potentially be witness to yet another great campaign this time around with further Champions League football (and maybe a sincere attempt at advancing in the FA Cup).

I've said it so many times before - I can live with a defeat and I don't expect the team to replicate our title-winning performances, but at least they could try and do something similar. Just like during the first 60 minutes against Bruges, for instance.

In terms of "least enjoyable season", I'd hugely disagree.

Relegation from the Premier League in 2004 (the season in which we threw away a 3-0 half-time lead at Wolves, for instance) and from the Championship in 2008 (remember the goading Stoke fans) were far worse, we had to put up with so much horses*it for five, six years.

Holloway, Megson, Sousa, the expectations under Eriksson, Eriksson's sacking, playoff heartbreak under Pearson... It all hurt, it all led to so much disappointment.

I have found this season to be the least enjoyable as a Leicester fan for quite some time. (yes I was there in League One and Championship days)

Last season we were obviously spoilt, it was a whirlwind, it was simply unique.

This season, I don't look forward to games, I don't celebrate goals in the same way. Somehow it just doesn't mean as much anymore.

Results and performances have been a factor, but I think this season was always going to disappoint.

Brugge away apart, I've found the Champions League to be a bit of a letdown. We had a glorified Europa League group.

I kind of just want it all to end.

Anyone else feel similar?

sort of yes..it's a very strange and unexpected feeling

I said a while ago winning the league is like completing the story mode on GTA, yeah there's other things to do but you've completed the best bit now and you lose the motivation to play it

Fully understand the apathy regards this season to date but I think it's high time we got over ourselves and started to get behind the lads again. The atmosphere on Tuesday was embarrassing. We qualified for the knockout stages and nobody could be arsed. Watching the game back on bt sport and the co-commentator talked about how flat the atmosphere was about half a dozen times. Last season isn't coming back and we are what we are now. It's not easy to create a good atmosphere when the team isn't doing so well, but that's why it's so special when fans do. We can do it, we should do it.

The big triumph last season has certainly white-washed some fans supportive loyalty to the players/team, i. e. lack of chanting/singing.

It has probably made a few uncertain of how strong the player's desire is to keep on playing in a competition they have rather easily and successfully fought in.

I suspect the Bruges home atmosphere was poor, as the crowd knew we were nearly qualified and that it would take a big shock in a poor-quality Bruges defeating a team that only lost at home twice all year.

I see good numbers on here from the threads mentioning who we're going to get next etc appearing both excited and unsure who we could do well against and progress again. Thus the CL debut season has made fans to obviously look forward more in terms of what we can do next and potentially (hopefully) cause more sporting upset - though just concerned Ranieri won't give two hoots about the FA/League Cups in favour of having a big interest (and even possibly obsession, though he tries to deny this to the media insisting ''league very important'') in a competition that may be difficult to reach consistently.

It's not as enjoyable as before but it's far from the least enjoyable, unless you enjoy being depressingly average with no obvious immediate prospects of doing anything even moderately successful.

I get that, but online is like our European campaign now, never ending (I hope!!!!)

I'm enjoying this season, sure we're unlikely to experience the same highs as last - but I can guarantee there will be some orgasmically-exciting games between now and May.

I don't want to get into a 'four Yorkshireman' dscussion but for me the most depressing year was when Peter Taylor took over. The way it seemed that everything that was great about our club (and what O'Neill had built) was utterly destroyed. We had it tough, this is luxury!
