Has he recovered?

Well no, the news said he was still very ill, but the reports he'd died were incorrect.

Dame Vera Lynn trending on twitter earlier, fortunately she's just announced a new album at the age of 100!

Sad to see that Sprinbok legend Joost Van Der Westhuizen finally lost his battle with motor neurone disease today aged only 45. A great number 9 and an inspiration to many. RIP

Looks like at least one of mine might see the year out.

RIP Joost van der Westhuizen. Sad to see recent photos of him vs his rugby playing days, but he was inspirational how he raised awareness of his condition and seemed to be loving life even until the end. Given 2 years to live and lived 6, typical of a warrior like that!

Sad, same age as me which is a bit spooky

I couldn't tell you what she actually did though or why she was famous?

I think famous for being famous kinda covers it.

Actor Bill Paxton has died aged 61.

:( Oh dear, so, so sad.

Aliens, Twister, Near Dark, Mighty Joe Young, Titanic, A Simple Plan...

Loved his work.

Don't think I've been this upset about an actor's untimely passing since James Gandolfini.

Actor Bill Paxton has died aged 61.

One of my favourite actors, he had some memorable lines...

Nice night for a walk,

Game over man, game over

Too young at 61, RIP

Got this via Jeremy Vine on twitter. This photo is outside JFK's hotel the morning of the assasination. The boy being held up head poking above the crowd is Paxton

A bit of a smoothy sometimes a bit snidey but I have to say I quite liked him and there's not many Labour figures I could say that about.
