Whilst I appreciate I could be made to look good on a highlights reel, there's no denying he has pace, a decent right peg and an eye for goal....

These though were not exactly the attributes I thought would stand out though in a highlights video for a defensive holding midfielder!

How many medicals will he  undergo before signed?

If they start now and work through Xmas we can sign him January 27th.

Get rid of Andy King! Can't even remember the last time he scored!

I'd hope not. The owners still have that ambition for us to be regularly troubling the top 5, was it? That means regular European football and a bigger squad needed. Arsenal have proven that they can be challenging near the top of the table and winning a tough Champions League group with a squad filled with quality that can be rotated.

We've proved that with limited numbers, losing key players like Schmeichel, Drinky and Kanté for various reasons can affect us hugely. If we're to be meeting the owners' objectives, we can't be giving other sides in the division 14-game headstarts.

I like to think that if we brought in 2 midfielders, then we'd lose none. King and Amartey have their uses as squad players, Drinky is indispensable, Mendy is the great hope and James is an unknown quantity again after the injury (so glad to see him back in matchday squads and coming on against the Mancs).
