surrifox Posted 12 January 2017 Posted 12 January 2017 A bigger challenge will be dumping the overpaid underperforming wasters he inherited
Chico1958 Posted 12 January 2017 Posted 12 January 2017 Fvck this............................ I'd have him back in a heartbeat Nice bloke, looks like a people person and whether we like him or not he got us The Little French Guy And I really did like the Little French Guy Now I got another Little French Guy And he's got a Nigerian Friend So I don't care

Deal not quite done yet. Weird one. Scored like 9 goals in 6 seasons at different clubs and now seems to be doing alright after going to UAE. Dud alert.
blue army 1988 Posted 12 January 2017 Posted 12 January 2017 Apparently kenwright is meddling with the transfers at Everton and making Walshs' job very difficult. Maybe he might soon regret leaving for the money.
MrSpaM Posted 12 January 2017 Posted 12 January 2017 Isn't his job now more just getting players to sign on the dotted line rather than scouting them?

dannythefox Posted 12 January 2017 Posted 12 January 2017 Nearly the same job as here but he's call the director of football is how I understand it. He wouldn't of gone for the same title as here because he wouldn't be gaining anything. I see old Ronald was slagging him off the other day though for not recruiting anyone after we beat them he wouldn't of liked that. I'd take him back anytime.

Huge difference in role between DOF and his role here. Kenwrights interference won't be easy to deal with. Our owners learnt quickly not to do this. Something overlooked by many when joining clubs. David Devin backed the manager at Arsenal and secured some great signings, he went and got the deal done.

I understand the difference in the role I just don't think he's really doing it. Seems more of a head scout upstairs in the office. Can't believe Ronald would have a dig at him like that.

Kante isn't capable of human emotion so I doubt it. The poor guy looks so awkward when celebrating goals I wonder if we bought an actual robot.

He was just so good that he kept playing. Kantè is still one of my favourite players.
funkyrobot Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Walshy's got a double page spread in The Sunday Times sport section today. He contradicts himself and confirms that we should've got Gueye. He used his employed time with us to scout him and despite agreeing not to go for our targets, then jumps ship and poaches him for Everton. The headline reads 'The next Kante? I've found him and brought him to Everton.' You didn't get NDidi though did you Walshy?

Could be that it was made clear before he left for Everton that we would not be signing him so it was fair game for him to buy Gueye for Everton.

And no I'm not looking for a internet fight I really would like to know

Mind you he was £7.5 million so it was a bit of a gamble I suppose

Slightly annoying that Gueye and Lookman were extensively scouted whilst Walshy was a paid LCFC employee and then he uses that research for fkin Everton.
Fox92 Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Frightening that Walsh had to persist to sign Kante because Ranieri wanted Mendy instead.

Doubt it from the way he was going on about it. Probably kept Gueye quiet because he knew he was going to go to Everton as DOF.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Mind you, Gueye did well for Everton today. Definitely the new Kante. Ndidi is a far better prospect already.
