Slightly annoying that Gueye and Lookman were extensively scouted whilst Walshy was a paid LCFC employee and then he uses that research for fkin Everton. He might have wanted them at Leicester but Ranieri didn't. Difference of opinion & Walsh leaves... It's well known that Ranieri didn't want Kante and Walsh has to persuade him to sign him.
Foxxed Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Didn't Walsh have to persuade Ranieri to sign someone when they were both at Chelsea? Like one of Chelsea's all time best midfielders. That said, Ranieri did give us Ndidi, so I can't complain. If Everton have sense, they'll give Walsh free reign. I'm still very tempted to put a bet on Everton reaching the top four next season. They've got excellent form of late.

Jattdogg Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Everton are playing at the level where they should be playing. 7th in the prem behind the so called big clubs is about right.
Deucalion Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 On the 'Leicester 'til I die' page on Facebook, someone claims to have been to an event involving Steve Walsh (our former coach). He says that Steve Walsh said that Craig Shakespeare is due to join Everton in the summer. It was only around a week or two ago when he said this. The person who posted on LTID seems reasonable, although I don't know him personally. I hope this isn't true. https://www.facebook.com/groups/leicestertillIdie/?fref=nf

Could see this happening when Ranieri was the main man, from what was reported he along with the players weren't happy, but come end of the season I think he might have a bigger job here should all go well...

Deucalion Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 What bothers me is that Craig Shakespeare is the last link with our sports science and sports psychology departments. I think these departments underpin so much of our recent success as Pearson was a huge fan and built this side of the club until we had a tangible advantage over other clubs. Older managers such as Sven and Ranieri do not understand the need for these things.

Yeah. He will be leaving as Leicester manager to become No. 3 to 5-man midfield Koeman.

HighPeakFox Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 I'd say an awful lot can change in a short space of time. I also think it seems an absurdly careless thing to reveal.

Wortho Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Until recently Everton have been poor. But they've won a few and suddenly Koeman is flavour of the month. Same with Howe. Win a few=genius, lose a few=shite.

They should've been aware and got in for Gueye straight away seeing as Walshy was adamant he was the new Kante. Tbf, from what I've seen recently, he isn't at Kante's level despite what Walshy says. He does however look miles better than ('Whoop Whoop this is the sound of Nampalys') Mendy

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Notice how Everton have not been linked at all with any of our players? That's because Walsh will have a 'no touch' clause in his contract when he left Leicester. Watch this space, this summer Everton will be proper sniffing around
