Well I genuinely have that feeling about us winning tomorrow night.

Burnley really aren't very good and I think we aren't far off turning on a performance.

I'd love it if you're right, but I think you're doing Burnley a massive disservice by saying they aren't very good- their home form is phenomenal this season!

Slimani and Ulloa not fit for this.

Vardy and Okazaki it is, Burnley's defence must be absolutely shitting themselves.

It's amazing how many players aren't fit when transfer rumours are speculating about their futures isn't it?

On paper, they aren't as good.

in mentality and hunger, desire and commitment we are sadly nowhere near.

I really hope you are right though and the convincing and confident team returns and puts in a performance, that not only they can be proud of, but we can to.

Now, now. Ulloa is on his way out and rightly so. Can't blame him. Ranieri almost never used him this season and the guy wants to play. As for Slim, a groin injury is one of the most persitent injury you can get. Or you're implying that he also wants to go?

I'm not blaming anyone, but why not tell the truth? We are adults after all?

Ulloa doesn't want to get injured, for obvious reasons and I can't deny him that, especially some of the crucial and historic goals he scored for us.... Slim being offered 300k a week has surely turned his head, confused his situation..... not saying he wants to go, but might be interested in the idea because of the significant pay rise, which we all would have to consider an opportunity.

I'm not being detrimental to the players, rather asking the question why do clubs feel they can't just be honest? Or is the football business as childish as the playground a la west ham

Truth based on wild speculations? You have no way to know what's exactly happening. That's not telling the truth but spreading (bad) rumors.

It feels like we start every premier league match down 1-0 within the first 10 minutes. I sincerely hope that this is not the case.

The lineup I want:

Kasper

Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Chilwell

Mahrez - Ndidi - Drinkwater - Mendy - Gray

Slimani

The lineup I expect Ranieri to put out there:

Kasper

Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs

Mahrez - Mendy - Drinkwater - Albrighton

Okazaki - Vardy/Musa

Ok,  I know where you're coming from but you are contradicting yourself by actuaĺly arguing my point.

fact is I implied a strange coincidence could be a suggestion of something more, but did not claim fact, whereas you seem to be on a mission to say reading between the lines or that I'm starting a (bad) rumour, as you put it, is detrimental to the club, but if everyone already thinks it, or questions it in their own minds, how is somebody asking the question why? Be bad?

Clearly it's just both our opinions of what MAY or may not be going on behind the scenes, but coincidence or not, it happens with alot of transfer speculation that the player in question is suddenly injured. Or do you believe both players are injured and will fail their Medicals anyway inspite of either interest or transfer? Therefore transfer requests and interest from other clubs is or would be void anyway?

I don't understand your point or why you insist on nit picking mine?

No, not nitpicking or having a go. Sorry if it can sounded like this. It's just frightening that we came to a point where an injury could be interpretated as possible malice from a player. I consider it to be highly unlikely for Slim, since he is carrying the groin injury for a while and as already said it's not Kind of injury to heal fast.

Ok bud, no worries.....

but the point being slim still went AFCON rather than concentrate on not aggravating the groin injury and getting himself match fit, the club (30m asset/investment remember) and the player decide AFCON is the best thing for all parties.... comes back, interest declared. Player injured.

cynical maybe, but beyond the realms of doubt? Not at all

Slim was called up, he had to go, unless he had officially declared retirement from international football. If he refused to go, FIFA rules are that we wouldn't be allowed to play him anyway for the duration that Algeria was in AFCON + 7 days extra. Not that Slim would ever decline a call up, most players are pretty proud about playing for their country. If anything blame Algeria for calling him up and playing him while carrying an injury, but don't blame Slim for doing his duty.

Just get three points. Forget the United game on Saturday. This, Swansea and Derby reply is what matters. Stay up, go as far as we can in the Fa cup and reasses our shortcomings this summer.

Even if injured? Really? He also had to play through injury due to FIFA rules? If he wasnt 100% fit he should not of risked the aggravation of the injury and if really injured he wouldnt be selected for club level,  let alone international level.

You're twisting my comment to look clever, but you are making an arguement with yourself.

International players regularly pull out of games through injury, without being forced to participate by fifa unless they retire.

Also, i never said its Slims fault or Ieo's, i wasn't blaming anyone, i said several times why do clubs lie about availability because of outside interest. I guess you just answered my question, fans are to childish to accept the truth and will react with venom to whoever or whatever they can.

I was just pointing out coincidence if you had bothered to actually read my comment rather than react.

So I reiterate, how will 2 supposedly injured players pass medicals at respective club interest by 11ish pm. Is that not a requirement of fifa and your high horse?
