Callabinho Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Routine Burnley win. They will smoke us, we may as well not bother turning up!
WoodyFox Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Schmeichel, Simpson, Benalouane, Huth, Fuchs, Albrighton, DD, Ndidi, Mahrez, Gray, Slimani.
adejo92 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Im not even going to waste my time posting a line up. No one knows what circus performers will be put out on the night!

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 I think we'll do well to get a point in this one. Burnley are excellent at home, and are a resolute, organised side. I almost feel Burnley have gone under the radar this season, they've done very well and are worthy of credit considering their season so far & mid table position. They are similar to Bournemouth, in the fact that they have assembled a team together who each know their roles and do it with adequate ability. That's why both clubs are doing well because they both have systems in place which work. I watched Burnley when they played Arsenal away the other week, and the difference in intensity compared to us is clear to see. They close the space well and make it difficult for teams. Assuming Slimani isn't quite ready, this is the team selection I would choose to play on Tuesday evening. Still toying between this formation and 4-1-4-1, which would include Mendy sitting in front of the defence. I'd like to see Mendy in that position at some stage because that's probably where he is most effective. 4-2-3-1 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Chilwell Ndidi Drinkwater Mahrez King Albrighton Musa
foxy boxing Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 A must not lose game! We need to press these and get at them from the off. We need to utilise our pace and run at them. We need to see more skill and determination and our big players Vardy and Mahrez need to get their seasonn going and work for the team and the cause. Cause and effect, we cause them problems and cause their players to lose the ball the effect will be we'll get goals against them and it will effect their players causing us to win the game!

filbertway Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Schmeichel Simpson (only because there's no other option) Ndidi Fuchs Chilwell Drinky Mendy Mahrez Shinji Gray Slimani We'll do nothing until we play people at the back that don't panic and smash the ball every time it's at their feet.
foxfan92 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Let's get back to last season. Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs/ Chilwell (only unenforced change) Mahrez Drinkwater Ndidi Albrighton Shinji Vardy I like the fight Chilwell seems to be bringing to the left back and his forward runs. Otherwise lets just get back to playing the same system that we know worked so well. Over 90% of the team remains the same! Get some consistency and get some passion back. Get players playing in positions and doing jobs they know.

Spicer Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Kasper Simpson It's going to be Morgan Huth Chillwell Albrighton Mendy Ndidi Gray Mahrez Vardy I want to see intensity. I probably wont though.

Firegrande Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Chilwell Mendy NDidi Gray Mahrez Albrighton Slimani 2-0 Burnley, their home form is brilliant and I can't see that changing given that our defence won't and our away form.
GloverFox Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 ... reckon we're in for another kicking, just can't seem to realise any faith in the side at present ...... so please, let me be proved wrong?!?!?!?!
lgfualol Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Pls no Okazaki and Vardy. That's like starting without an attack.
goody2028 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Their home form is amazing so will definitely take a point now. Can't see us winning. Can't make it to this due to work but went the other year when won 1-0 once Burnley had missed that penalty, was pivatol in us staying, atmosphere was great. Unfortunately got United after this gonna be a hard week.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 0-0 draw. On the face of it that would ordinarily be a decent result, but in the scheme of things at the moment we need to be winning.
