Would you have taken this...

Can see the headlines now. "From Champs to Chumps" and there'll be a picture of Victoria Park last May and this May. The latter will have been taken in the early morning with a woman chucking a tennis ball for a labrador cross.

Very sad :(

I'd take the Premier League title every time, even if it means going down to Div 1 before we get back on track.

Biggest worry now has to be what if the owners say "this isn't good enough, we're off" where's the income going to come from to pay this shower of $hit that we've turned into?

We weren't shit, we had structure of consistent improvement that provided the foundation to compete for years

It's now been undone & getting it back is a very rare thing

We did have a structure, there was consistent improvement but it couldn't have been built on solid foundations or it wouldn't have crumbled with the sale of one single element. I think what we had was momentum, and by good fortune and a great team ethos we carried it through. CR appears to be very affable, and someone like that can keep things going when they don't need fixing, at least for a while, now it seems he's got problems that he may not be able to resolve.

It's hard to accept, we've been so used to limited success, play-offs, the league cups etc. and then last season was the most incredible of our lives. To be faced with this it's hard to take, i wonder how much harder to deal with it must be for the players? I've no sympathy, don't get me wrong, they got us there, and they took us here, but it's them that need to get their heads right and do what they did last season. Ain't ever gonna happen again though.

We burned briefly but brightly. The price we pay for winning the title is turning into Forest for eternity, destined to wander the corridors of the second and third tier dreaming of our past glory...

I'm not surprised at the responses. How could you say no? One of the things growing up that always bugged me was that we had never won the League or FA Cup. Now we have. We can always say we have, we saw our team become champions of England. Our name will forever be on the trophy.

Football isn't about surviving, it's about a shot at glory. I'd rather we got to the FA Cup final and got relegated than stay up and get knocked out by Derby. Hell I'd probably rather knock out Sevilla than stay up.

Great topic......and yes, every day of the week.

To see OUR club win the Premier League was always a fantasy so having been through good, bad and indifferent times to the complete sublime can never be taken away from us.......generations of fans have followed our club and never experienced us winning the major trophies and we did it.

Fans from other clubs may take the proverbial if we go down but other than the Big 4 not many can sign Premier League Champions and they probably never will.........

Mind I wish our lazy bunch would get their finger out and put in a few performances ;-0

Last year, the parade, the support from the rest of the country, the amazing feeling of 'we can't do this....surely?' Vardys record, beating Man City away, Ranieri being the worlds most charming man, Watching spurs implode, Hazards goal, the party at Vardys, Bocelli singing, seeing Leicester City at the top of the league after 38 games. I will tell kids, grandkids and random people on my death bed about this. Nothing can ever take that away.

Same here, I'd currently take Quarter Finals of the Champions League and relegation than safety and getting knocked out by Seville.

Even if we get relegated we'd be back in the Premier League within 5 years. It's highely unlikey we'll be back in the Champions League in my lifetime again.

If you said we'd win the league and only lose one player for the next season people would of put there house on us staying up so please don't anyone say they would take going down. If you do don't moan we've been rubbish all season.

We've done what most teams dream of, including Liverpool. Yeah I'd take it. Doesn't make me happy now though because we've missed an opportunity to build on success. Players need to take a look st themselves.

Hard question to answer. I mean winning the prem is like a dream only 6 sides to ever win it. Butttttt if your not in the prem you sort of dont exist in world football so i really dont know how to answer.

Who cares what the world think. We still exist in our own footballing world.

Personally i had no interest in the Premier league while we were not in it.

The season we were in  league one, that was the only league i was interested in, and the same as when we were in the championship, then that was the only league i was bothered about.

In fact, much as it was a nightmare when we were relegated to league one, i had some good times, meeting proper football fans, who had supported their own club despite them knowing that actually, league one was as good as it was likely to get for them.

One of the things i hate about the Premier league are the arrogant fans that we come across.

Give me a football chat with a Colchester, Yeovil or Stockport fan any day of the week, over a chat with a premier clubs arrogant fans.

Last season was strange for us, we were in the limelight, making news around the world, for the first time in the clubs history, and while it was ok, do you know what, i think i like us being ignored more.

I`ve been going down the City for 43 years, and winning the top division of english football was truly a dream come true for me.

Something i dared to dream might happen in the 70`s, when it was a more level playing field. (Derby twice and even Forest won it for gods sake)

but in the footballing world in which we now live in, i never thought that there was any chance at all of us even making the top five, let alone actually winning the thing.

Nothing will ever take that away from us now, it`s in the record books for ever more, Leicester City Premier League Champions 2015/16.

Not only that, but our story will be told and enjoyed not just within this City, but across the world for many years to come.

So much as i would hate us to go down this season, especially after being champions last season, given the choice at the start of last season, i would snap your hand off to experience what we did last season, even if it meant we would be relegated this season.

Champions of England, We`ll always have that!
