Here here!

Hopefully Derby was the turning point for us and Ranieri recognises now what he needs to do to get the results to finish the season strongly. We surely still have it within us to go on a run and finish mid table let alone avoid relegation. You would hope so wouldn't you fingers crossed onwards and upwards
Sir Shep Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Well I've given up hope now. He'll stay, we go down but I do hope we sell as many players as possible. I'd really only want to keep Kasper, Ndidi and Chilwell but they'll be the first 3 out!
Fox92 Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 Nothing to suggest he can get us out of this mess. Ranieri out. I've thought It for months and I'll stand by it. Clueless.
moseeds Posted 12 February 2017 Posted 12 February 2017 As much as I love Ranieri and what he has achieved there's a real danger of his memory being besmirched. For his own legacy he should step down and preserve the remnants of the most astonishing of feats.

Skippy Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 The writings is on the wall lads, Claudio now has to achieve something equally (depending on how you look at it) miraculous than what was achieved last season but this time around he's the key play maker... this time last season it was pretty much all on the shoulders of our regular squad to make the impossible happen, yes he was a good leader by not tinkering but now it's all up to him to turn the tide. Can he manage it? If he wakes up and realises we're an ok team without the usual suspects then we might scrap through, if he doesn't make some/all changes the majority are screaming for then IMO he's a total fraud of a decent PL manager.

It's about a group of players that need to show us fight and spirit and its down to them to get us out of this mess
Blue ROI Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 I've lost all hope of Ranieri getting us out of this since the Burnley game. We're heading back to Palookaville. 5 straight premier league defeats in a row. Not far off the 8 losses in a row towards the end of 2000/01 under Taylor. Ranieri walked out of Atletico Madrid about a month before they were relegated in 2000. He might do something similar.Got to make a change before its too late. Maybe it is.

He's tried different players/systems outside of regular PL games and it's worked to a point so why the dickens doesn't he recognise the good apples from rotten apples in our regular squad. It's bizarre. I just wonder what it'd be like if Shakespeare was given the reigns until the end of season, surly he can see the mistakes his boss is making and would do things a bit differently... maybe its why theres has been a lack for interaction between them in games of late.

Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 The only salvation here, for me, is that I was one of the people calling for Pearson to be replaced. As early as Christmas I think. None of this 'Col never admits he was wrong' bollux. I do, when I am. He and we turned it round, a lot of us ate humble pie, and the rest is history. However, it just feels different this time. Under Nige, I just felt he had piddled about with his tactics and that we just didn't have a particularly good squad. I can't recollect that I thought he'd lost the respect of the players. I think Ranieri HAS lost this respect. I think he's fishing for the right things to do and to say to turn it round. And I think he's digging a deeper hole. Just like last time, I'd love to be proven wrong. But I just can't see it. The club feels toxic.
HybridFox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Given that there's been nothing drastic since yesterday, I take it he is going to get given time If Claudio is to get the confidence back to turn this around, surely the penny has to have dropped by now! Drop the underperforming players. Do it. It's no coincidence that our "second" team might well get us to the QF of the FA Cup. They are the ones hungry to play. They deserve to start. He's been way too loyal this year to certain individuals who haven't repaid him back. Now's your time Claudio because your job really does depend on it! Dropping Morgan/Huth would be a step in the right direction

m4DD0gg Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Players are not playing for him, that much is evident in post match interview body language. Drinkwater is a classic example from yesterday of someone lying through his teeth.
SecretPro Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 He still here? Clock is well and truly ticking and it's way past the hour I'm afraid.

You never see the players categorically state they're behind Ranieri, they always flirt round the issue with some generic bollocks. If Ranieri has lost the dressing room then he needs to be sacked, TODAY.

Dropping Morgan/Huth would be a step in the right direction we played a strong team at everton and derby we played the second team against their second team the only time we saw our second team in a properly competitive fixture it didn't end too well

fairbanksh Posted 17 February 2017 Posted 17 February 2017 Many talk about player egos but overlook the sheer arrogance of CR He doesn't communicate with his staff at all levels His PR performances are wearing very thin Dont forget he had a vastly enhanced pay rise and contract Its HIS job to motivate the players, recognise poor performances, play players in the right position and acknowledge when squad members put in good performances As his Italian comrade Nero " Ranieri is fiddling while LCFC burns"
