Backroom staff deserted Claudio?

Recommended Posts

During the United game Claudio stood on his own for the whole game. Never once did he consult any of his backroom staff. In addition not once did any of his backroom staff step up to offer advice. When your 0-3 down at home surely you need to consult someone.

Clearly there are issues here. Get them all locked in a room today and get it sorted. We cannot keep doing the same thing and expect different results. It goes without saying that its a disgrace that we are in this situation.

Did anybody else see not long before UTD scored Fuchs arguing with Ranieri's instructions then Fuchs went to Huth to tell him and huth shook his head with hand gestures about width!

Claudio looked a forlorn figure during that game.

Needs the intervention of the owners to openly  back him.

They need a massive clear the air talk. Players, staff, manager etc.

The owners need to either publicly back Ranieri, or sack him

If they choose to back him until the end of the season, then everyone else either jumps onboard and starts pulling in the same direction, or they go and work with the reserves until the summer.

I must admit I don't normally read too much into such things but absolutely noticed yesterday that there was Claudio and then everyone else, he looked absolutely isolated.

Maybe Ranieri's instructions were to actually defend. Hence why Huth shook his head and totally ****ed us moments after.

It's not a new thing for Claudio to lose the support of absolutely everyone. I wish we had contribution from Inter/Juve and Roma fans. This isolation of players, victimisation and phasing out of honest coaching staff is normal practice. Support him if you will but you could question the ability and commitment of our players. Can anyone question the commitment and dedication to Roma of player like Totti?

Shakespeare's opinion should be golden. He's trained these players and got the best out of them for years. We don't need a sit down, we need to cut out the common problem - Claudio.

Give Craig Shakespeare a go until the end of season, doesn't look like it would be a good idea to even "promote" Ranieri in an Ambassadors role, he appears to have turned to poison whether it's his fault or not, I don't care. 100% we go down if he's not out by next week.

It's the sad reality. It's a common theme that Ranieri starts well in a new job for it to all go to pot a year later. I don't want to sack the man, but I don't think he should be our manager anymore. Nothing would make me happier than if he walked away this morning. I can't see him walking so if we were to change manager he'd have to be sacked.

If Claudio does go (and i'd be gutted if he does), then I doubt anyone wants him sacked ..... But he won't resign and lose £Ms ..... So it will be by mutual consent and i would imagine a new manager would be lined up prior as part of the arrangement.

He won't walk away. As I said in another thread, he never does. No matter how bad it gets, how many people he falls out with, he won't until he gets his pay day.

Also noticed that shakey was on the pitch at the end. Usually him at stowell will hang around on the side of the pitch but yesterday he was on to commiserate all of the players

Absolutely this

as the situation continues more and more cracks could appear between Claudio and his backroom staff, just get the feeling Claudio has a different way of doing things to the other coaches and maybe words have been said and there is clearly a difference of opinion between Claudio and his staff

I think the problem with all these supposed leaks to the press, and things not happening on the pitch, are we looking for things that are not there, there maybe a fall out, but there may not.

He resigned at Roma.

We had a Performance psychologist called Ken Way who I understand left in September. (Not in the LCFC set up on line)

I remember and have just Googled, got a lot of credit pre and during our success. Articles suggest how good he is. He said in an interview that he is not that busy when the team are playing well (we were then) as his job is working, if players had a dip in form he would build them up.

I don't know why he left, can only guess. I know he shouldn't be necessary etc but its fair to say he's missed.

Yes, he has left in the summer, along with a number of other sports science guys. Whether it was their choice or not, I don't know, could have gone to Derby with Nigel, but not to have any psychology stuff going on is another criminal mistake by the powers at the kp.
