The 12th Man

So something that's been apparent this season is our atmosphere at home has not been up to it's usual standard, I can totally get why as the football at the moment is not up to much. In short we need to get the KP bouncing again and try to get rid of this negativity!

Whether people want Ranieri as manager or not we cannot be divided, I really feel that part of our success does come down to what the atmosphere is like... we need to shirk off this poisonous atmosphere of booing and vocally berating players. We need to build their confidence back up and that will need our patience and backing. So Wednesday night (although I'm not there) we need to get behind the team like we have done in the past and give the full match our entire support.

If they score we still sing

If we score we sing louder

Bring back Tifos

And let's get the passion back!

Wish it was that simple, have a feeling things have gone past the crowd lifting them.

As I have said before, the change needs to come from the players, they are in control of this.

If they lift their performance, they lift the crowd, lifts Claudio, atmosphere changes.

As it is their performance only seems to confirm the rumours.

Good of you to offer, how much you donating are do you plan to spend plenty of time helping to organise it

Onus is on them, not us.

Message wasn't to imply it's our fault, sorry if it did.

Listen I know player performances are crap, clear to see that... have been all season, but there were plenty of times a player would try something.. fail and the crowd gets on the back of the team. As getting on the back of the team certainly isn't working how about trying to get behind the team?

The players should be happy they haven't been absolutely slaughtered by the crowd yet, there was barely any boos around me, more of a ripple of applause.

Lose and lose badly at Swansea though, and I can imagine the away end being as toxic as Barnsley away under Pearson in the bad run a few years back. It would be deserved too.

This. I think the crowd have been pretty lenient so far. Thought it might turn toxic yesterday but it didn't.

Yesterday the fans were well up for it.....right up until the moment Dumb and Dumber gave away 2 goals in a minute.

Its very hard to get behind a team that have no drive, rarely have the ball and have the body language of a group who dont give two shits what the fans think anyway.

Its about supporting Leicester City, not a jumped up bunch of arrogant pricks.

Title of the thread is "The 12th man".  If we could be the 12th man we would, the trouble is that at the moment, even if we sung our hearts out, we'd only be the 6th man at best.

I thought the support was decent in the first 40 minutes too. I disagree that the team showed no signs of effort in the first half though.

The amount of times I tried to cheer yesterday and everybody looked at me gone out!

Ignore them, and crack on, in the hope that others may join in.

The bit that's starting to grate with me tho, is the blowing smoke up the players arse's, and the being on our way to the last 16, yeah great, but we are going to get ****ed by Sevilla and if the fans concentration is on CL, we can't exactly blame the players for seemingly having the same mentality.

The Ranieri song was a bit muted and Claudio acknowledged it far earlier than he usually does.

Didn't really have anywhere else to put this but United's away support yesterday was some of the best I've ever seen. No gimmicks, no clappers, just 90 minutes of original songs sung by people who know how to have a good time at the football. Outstanding.

Saw a good quote today can't remember it word for word but it was basically;

I'll support the team to the hilt, I'll be loud, the '12th man' but unless they put me up front and I can physically put the ball in the net I can do no more.

That is down to them.

If you keep on getting sh*t thrown at you eventually you will pick it up and throw it back, nice idea but from what I heard the crowd were bouncing up to the 7 minutes of madness and then quite frankly there was precious little to promote a positive crowd response.

My thoughts precisely. If Leicester ever had an end like that .

Man United are in the top three for me, for the best overall away fans in this country. Notice the keyword 'overall', because United's range of songs and the lengths in which they sing them at is outstanding.

The players need to give you something to grasp and get behind.

This..all day long.

All this 'get behind em' stuff is childish and ain't the solution to the problem. A few shouts of 'Blue Army' don't suddenly make Musa into Higuain does it? Nor Amartey into David Silva.

Notoriously well supported away. Leeds and Wednesday are also up there in my opinion. Just seems that in this country northern away fans are better.

No. Sorry that ****ing song they are doing about I'm into something good. Is ****ing gash. If only for the fact they don't play that good a brand off football. Certainly not the United way. If that's a thing.

And the flogging it to death just proves if you do something long enough away from home you can make it seem decent.

Granted on the whole they do have a class away following. But football isn't just for middle aged men. Chelsea and United last 2 games barely seen a women or child in town. That maybe good for the end. But are we suggesting there is no place for them in our away ends.
