Had a good game today, much like every game he's had for us during this recent run. He's quite a different player to Kante and not quite the same midfield beast. He doesn't cover as much ground in the central areas or make as many challenges, but in exchange you get incredible ability to win aerial duels, a better range of passing and of course some blockbuster strikes from long-range! He's already scored more goals than Kante in just 8 appearances for us which is extremely good going.

 

For his age he is very impressive. How many other 20 year olds across Europe are first choice for their team in central midfield? Only Dele Alli comes to mind right now. He only arrived here in January yet already looks miles better than Mendy, Amartey, King, etc.

 

I think Ndidi's challenge is to start bossing games by himself. When you look back at Vieria, Keane, Yaya Toure (at his peak), they all had that ability to grab a game by the scruff of it's neck and dominate. Looking at him, he strikes me as having the potential to do that as he has a combination of athletism, height, a range of passing and good reading of the game. Whereas Kante is a destroyer, I would put Ndidi in more of the box-to-box category. Well potentially at least.

 

Our signings have rightly come under fire this season, but you'd have to say that this is another masterpiece from the scouting team. In fact I would personally go as far as saying that despite only having signed in January, he could well be in the top 10 or top 5 signings made by any club this season. He is already one of our best players, and has the potential to be one of the best players in the league.

I really hope he stays beyond the summer. If we get this summer right in terms of transfers in and out and the preseason preparation, we could have another special season on our hands next year.

 

Gatecrash the top 4 again perhaps? We can but dream.

Kante was a good player but now he is at Chelsea he is considered the best in the world now. 

 

Ndidi is quality! Looks like he has been playing prem for years! For me he is better than Kante because he offers more and pretty much does the job of Kante.

He's exactly the type of player I've been calling forover the past  2 years. I think he's on a 4 or 5  year Contract already but he needs a new one in the Summer.

We need to keep our best players and add to them. Only then will we move to the next level which will help us attract the better talent.

Better than Kante?!:blink: He's got a more rounded set of skills but Kante is a freak. Just about the most effective player in the world

I can't condone Fans who advocate our quality Players should leave the Club.

Kante was the best in the world last year that's why we signed him, it's just that others didn't realise it and proves once again how good a Scout Walsh was.

The signing of NDidi proves again that someone at the Club knows a Player when they see one. We're the 4th or 5th highest payers in the League and It's clear the Owners want more success. Why can't NDidi and others achieve success here.

I'm not saying Kante isn't a quality player cause he obviously is, I just feel that Ndidi isn't far off that standard already but with more to his game and with 5/6 years on Kante.

I'm not saying fans opinion, I meant the media. Kante only got spoken about end of Feb time last season? And it was how he is a good player etc etc with praise mounting per week. Because he has moved to Chelsea he is now the best in the world. Yes consistency of 18 months playing at that level can back it up but doubt he would be given that sort of plaudits if he was still here, same will be with Ndidi. 

 

There is no reason why they can't. I've said it numerous times this season that we have a committed and pretty gifted core in our squad, I'm sure they can take this club to another level.

I highly doubt it too. What we might see, is his agent chucking some rumours out there, to try get him a better deal here. I'm guessing he isn't on that much, probably similar to Gray and I imagine both will be linked to other clubs, purely to try get an improved weekly wage

... I totally agree, whilst Kante is a joy to watch Ndidi does so much similar in the game but much subtler .... and that wicked whip of a shot! Oh my word, great pace and accuracy on the ball ... lovely to watch!
