the club is so toxic at the moment that I cant see us surviving as things stand  but believe there will be a trigger once we're out of Europe in a week or so for some sort of revival either by a change in management or CR waking up and draining the swamp. - having said that I don't believe that Hull and Boro  have the quality to sustain their mini revival and possibly Swansea too  so there will be a group down the bottom and there could be a low points total for survival. Think Sunderland will go but palace will stay up (sadly) so its 2 from three/four but wouldn't bet against someone like Bournemouth going into freefall.

Don't agree Palace are doomed. They'll sort it in the end I think.

I wouldn't bet on it. Four defeats in 5 five games and a spanking at home against the red lantern.  Their run until april ain't easy at all. They have two certain losses against Spurs and Chelsea, play West Brom away. THeir next home game is against Boro (another relegation candidate). If they draw that one they're going down.

Fortunately I think Hull, Palace and Sunderland are all marginally worse than we are. But it is going to be a buttock-twitching end to the season, given our performance (lack thereof) yesterday.

Agreed ?

Hull's next 3 games are Burnley and Swansea at home, and us away. They could be looking towards mid-table afer that. We could be rock bottom by the end of Feb. Can't see us recovering from that.

Just for those voting 20th (I did before I had a proper look at our situation):

13 games left. 39 points to play for.

We need 16 or 17 in my opinion.

We may as well just completely forget about the away games. If Ranieri hasn't changed from 4-4-2 away from home, with no Kante AND with no Okazaki by now he never will. Maybe we'll pick up one more point. So assuming we do, we need 5 wins at home.

We have these teams to play:

Liverpool

Hull

Stoke

Sunderland

Spurs

Watford

Bournemouth

Let's just suggest for a minute (however laugahable that may be) that we will score again, at some stage this season. I see 2 games in that list where we don't have a hope in hell (Liverpool up next, & Spurs toward the end of the season).

That leaves 5 games. Against, in my opinion, 5 of the worst 7 or 8 teams in the league. We may well be the worst of the bunch, but we're not down yet. They are winnable games. A positive performance against Sevilla & a win at Millwall can give these players the confidence they need and we absolutely CAN get out of this, with the help of making the KP a fortress. Keep the faith

In 2014-15, we were rock-bottom by the beginning of November, and remained so until the end of March. Not many people could see us recovering from that, either.

In 2014-15, I was actually pretty sure we could survive, because in most games the team kept going, kept fighting, right to the end. No idea why, but this season there appears to be no fight.

We had a sense of humour at the start of the season ;)

Hull are much better than us. They put in a good show at Arsenal, they will easily beat us if they play like that. Easily.

I've gone with 19th, we look a hopeless case at the moment.

However, I do think there will be a point where we will realise that we need to play with intensity and attack teams- I'm just hoping it comes before it's too late.

come on own up who thinks we can get as high as 14th! lol

Up until yesterday,  I did...  i now think it will be 17th. Depends how shit the teams below us actually are.

lol at you lot.

Glad Foxestalk weren't in the trenches during the war. We'd all be called Hans, Adolf and Fritz.

Fat Sam will not go down, so at least 2 places up for grabs. Sunderland should really go. Hull and Swansea look decent. Boro can at least defend.

Unless we sack Claudio we will be bottom by a long way I feel.

He will. Palace are still awful, he's done nothing to arrest the slide.

I actually think they'll be the ones to finish below us. If anything, I fancy Sunderland to stay up more than Palace, they never seem to go down and beat Palace 4-0 last week.

How did sticking with Morgan and Huth work for us yesterday?

Schmeichel and Ndidi at fault for the two goals, seem to have escaped all criticism. Huth and Morgan were just as bad as the rest of the side.

your only saving grace this season is that we currently have three teams that look even more abject than you, Palace, Sunderland and Hull.

I warned you about Swansea and they did everything I expected of them, this is the direction you must take and pretty quickly, two banks of defensive four and don't lose shape and hopefully sneak a goal when the opposition are tiring.

Huth commits the foul for the first goal and Morgan runs away from his man. Also for the second goal Morgan is in no mans land. They're a level worse than the rest of the team along with Vardy

Morgan's man scored. He was marking Mawson and then just let him go.

Kasper's throw out was shocking and being beaten on his near post too but I'm always told how good Albrighton is good defensively and their player went past him as if he wasn't there.

Anyway I voted 19th.

Hull and Swansea both look better than us. Hull have key games coming up, including us. Thankfully I think Sunderland are nailed on 20th and Palace are so poor too but even with Palace being so poor we'll not go to Selhurst Park and win.

Ndidi was marking Mawson when the ball comes in then he completely switches off when Huth heads it clear. Left Mawson on his own.

No mate. He wasn't. Morgan was.

Edit: In fairness, I think there's an argument both ways. Ndidi is next to him too. Both do a pathetic job.
