That's all well and fine, but don't wear Stone Island jackets to demonstrate that you're a hooligan if you are no more than a has-been. Most of these so called "lads" don't even shout at other teams' fans and I would be willing to bet that out of 50 lads (it's never 200 like people say) only a dozen at most will fight, the rest fu** off back to the pub and even have the cheek to say they had just been fighting! Yorkshire Building Society!

Quite funny this. I had no idea that Stone Island Jackets carried so much clout. And staying out of prison is sort of important........
Adster Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 Anyone who goes to a football game looking for a fight is an absolute ****ing degenerate. Get a fvcking grip.
Voll Blau Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 It does seem a tad ironic the way 'wall fans romanticise their home support because it's exactly the kind of thing they'd accuse West Ham of doing. It's fine to be proud of your support, its make-up, being the last bastions of working class London football blah blah blah, but visiting players get verbals taking throw-ins everywhere FFS. Been three times - twice with Leicester and once with a Swindon-supporting mate, and honestly found it to be nothing special. Also know various lads from abroad who've done the trip there as neutrals and have been disappointed by the hype. As I've mentioned in another thread though, I do like the fact their support by and large seem to 'get it' and be of a similar mindset. Wish we were more like that sometimes in terms of having an "all in it together" attitude. Hopefully Saturday does live up to it and both ends create a proper Cup atmosphere. If our away fans are going to shine anywhere in a season of really shit ends, it'll be here.

We thought that with 5k on a Friday night in our first local derby for a couple of years in the last round though. No reason why it shouldn't be. Just hope our end are up for supporting their side rather than just standing around looking moody all game though.

Bigger allocations always seem to be shite though, not defending our support at Derby because it wasn't what it should have been. Everton in the cup was a good atmosphere though so I'm hoping this will be the same with a similar allocation and 3pm saturday
foxy boxing Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 we'll bring the wall down! we need to find holes in the wall for the players to run into! we'll tear the wall down brick by brick! the foxes will end up running the den! this is a goal den opportunity!

Thanks for this, this is really helpful. So the moral is, if you wear any clothing manufactured by the brand Stone Island, you must also assault people, even if surrounded by children?
danny. Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 After further research into Stone Island jackets: http://www.stoneisland.co.uk/collections/coats-jackets/autumn-winter_16-stone-island I have some queries, maybe z-layrex or others can help? 1) How does one know the jackets are manufactured by Stone Island, they look much like any other jacket to me, albeit a bit shit - is there an easier way other than getting up close and examining the label? I am puzzled how in the midst of an outbreak of violence this would be either practical or feasible. 2) Looking at the prices, how do the people that wear Stone Island jackets afford them, assuming they are on a similar IQ level to the poster who kindly explained that only hooligans may wear them? Is there some kind of £100k/year job sector for illiterates I don't know about?
London 'Wall Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 I can't pretend that the atmosphere is always fantastic, we're a club that bounces between the championship and league 1 and have been served up some s**t football in recent times. Add to that the way the MET and our own club stewards treat us, and our last two managers Lomas (which was never going to work) and the insane one or Willy Wonka-Ian Holloway and it ain’t always going to be great. Saturday its pretty much a sell-out I would expect the atmosphere to be good. Are you going to bring those clapper things? As for West Ham, they are now finished as ‘proper’ club, their owners have seen to that, it has or is becoming part of the sanitised tourist happy-clappy premier football world. No thanks I’ll stick to what we’ve got. I’ve dragged this up from Oct 14 when we played Wolves at home, 3-0 down after 60 mins, we drew 3-3, comments from the Wolves forum; "The home crowd was a real eye opener, i pointed out to ADP regarding the behaviour of one fan in particular. Typical stereotypical bald headed bloke, long brown coat and he gave the linesman hell. He was joined by numbers that the police couldn't handle. Best atmosphere of the season so far for me." "Certainly a few characters along both flanks yesterday. Some of their antics would simply not be tolerated in many of the grounds I've visited! I know it would happen from any group of supporters having come back from 3 down but that lions roar as the third goal went in was real loud and impressive from all three sides of home support! I do dread to think what may of happened if that Sako free kick at the death had found top corner!" "My thoughts on today' draw at Millwall. A great atmosphere and an eye opener in the stands."

In fact in an earlier post I said this isn't about rep, which now days is just one dimensional media reporting and some of the younger generation latching on to the past. It is the safest ground in the country and has been for a number of years, you will know if you come by train there is a dedicated covered secure walkway from South Bermondsey station to the away end. As far as I can see there are always fans of the opposition that shout and gesture jester to each other, it doesn't really mean anything. Whenever I've been, about twice with Leicester and once with Bristol rovers, I'm sorry but the atmosphere has been non existent, maybe because you were terrible the times I've been. Might be better on Saturday with a bigger crowd, FA cup day etc to be fair.
AyewJoking Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 should be a pretty even game, hopefully we can force a replay at fortress KP.
London 'Wall Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 We are on an eleven match unbeaten run, that sounds very good however it is in a s**t league and we haven’t been playing particularly well, lots of draws in there . Manager Neil Harris our ex player legend has us sitting deep, conceding ground with a lot of hoof ball, effective to a point, a bit frustrating when a lot of us believe we have players that can play a bit. That said we did take care of both Bournmuff and Watford, even if it wasn’t their first string side. After being relegated Harris actually did a fine job in tidying up the mess left by Holloway, getting rid of 16 odd players and turning to free transfers and the youth, as we say at least we got our Millwall back. Holloway is a despised figure down our way, he spent a lot of money on wages and useless wage thief players that did nothing for us, and then took a million quid to f**k off. Just to put that million quid into context, how much money have Millwall spent on transfers in the last 10 years, going on 11 now? A shade under 1.5 million, that’s spent on transfers not net, just spent. So less than £150,000 a year, what some players earn in a week, not complaining here, its just how it is.
BigMicky Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 No one likes us, no one likes us - no one cares......
London 'Wall Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 1 hour ago, BigMicky said: No one likes us, no one likes us - no one cares...... Interestingly, or maybe not. The NOLU song is not about any opposition side or supporters, it originated more as an anti-establishment song. You have to remember it really helps being a Millwall supporter if you’ve got a chip on your shoulder. It is easy to make a case about not being liked, the FA and the football league would both be happy to be shot of us, particularly with our last two appearances at Wembley resulting in the TV splashing images across the screens of fighting. It really sullies the image of the beautiful game. Then our lovely Lewisham council has being trying to get rid for the last few years with their underhand regen scheme, that looks to have failed. Finally the MET have a special place in their hearts for us, I kid you not if you saw the provocation that goes on, this can be some way from the ground with them going into pubs in Bermondsey pushing it looking for a reaction. I could bore you with it, it is real though and some of the OB are well up for it, all pumped from being down the gym. Away games is another story, I understand that we are targets from young locals that want to brag about whatever. Northampton away this season, this is not a high profile game with any history, I mean come on its Northampton FFS. We were restricted 900+ tickets, the police presence was extraordinary, I came out of the ground asked a this plod the way to the station, he laughed ‘I’ve got no idea’ him and his mates were down from Nottingham for the day with overtime. Then the eight that came into the away end prior to kick off with their cameras and another two sets filming on the walk to the station. So the bunker mentality is ingrained and passed on, its almost self-perpetuating. No one likes us, and I suppose that suits us as well.

crazyleicester Posted 14 February 2017 Posted 14 February 2017 Millwall remind me of the fat ugly bird in a pub that gets so bladdered that she wants to fight a pretty girl or two so she has something to say to her Jeremy Kyle watching mates the next day because lets face it, not one of them is working and who is going to look after there kids? Its a Horrible vile area of London, idiot fans who get off on having the reputation they have which is basically to be universally despised. Imagine being proud of coming from a shit hole, having horrible fans, a rubbish football team and thinking that they are badder than they are!!! It really is hilarious! They wish they were West Ham but will never be the muppets.
