All I can say is I'm glad I didnt sign the petition to stop the developers from knocking the place down, it should be knocked down and put the club out of existence but unfortunately Lewisham council had other ideas

Millwall fans coming on here should be apologetic not being all offended because everyone thinks Millwall fans are scum.

Look at the state of the inbreds jesturing on the pitch, little kids and the guy in the string vest well you need a good bath.

The area round borough market if very nice as us London Bridge but come on South Burmonsey needs flattening and so does the Den

I've already stated that the supporters going onto the pitch and up to the away end was out of order, there was plenty stuff coming down from your top tier, so a little bit of two way traffic.

After the game I went to London Bridge to get a train home, the train was delayed so I was around when Leicester fans came through, nothing much but a bit of signing. When I got my train I spoke to a young lad probably 18-20 years who had been to the game, a neutral in that he supported neither team.  He told me he had been punched round the back of the head by your fans, no biggy really, stuff happens.

Bermondsey, Peckham etc. have their rough estates but there is plenty going on there these days. Foodie markets, Bermondsey Beer Mile, roof top bars and craft beer pubs, Ministry of Sound, The Printworks is now a huge gig/club venue, the Old Biscuit Factory is an arts hub, Borough Market, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, Southwark Park, the Hop Exchange, the old docks (Canada Water, Greenland Dock), Shad Thames, the rows of Victorian terraces around New Cross are lovely and, of course, Millwall FC.

Not bad for a shithole.

I live and work in Southwark and know the boroughs of Lewisham and Southwark well at this stage and have to agree with you! Great place to live for the reasons that you have highlighted above. As you have said, there are a few 'rough estates', but as someone that lived many many years in Leicester and then moved to London, I think that many people on here have misconceived ideas of the area. In many ways I feel safer here than in Leicester; the opportunities for food, cultures, the arts, sport etc are far superior. Don't get me wrong I love Leicester it is still my home but in comparison the broad generalization of the area south-of-the-river Thames as a 'shithole' is so far from the truth!

Let's be honest, as a result of a few hundred 'wall goading them...

They have a reputation that their chavs and unwashed want to maintain as they have nothing else.

They also have a huge inferiority complex as they're not even the toughest fans in their own neighbourhood. Every time they play West Ham they are run all over the place.

To be fair, the noise after they scored until full time was deafening!

They make it a horrid place to play but it's always entertaining seeing the state of some of the people in the stands (or on the pitch as it was yesterday at the end)

It was noisy, but it would be anywhere. Premier League champions against League 1 underdog with 10 men.

The majority of the game it was quiet apart from the odd random screaming of the word 'mill'.

Did anyone notice the bloke who thought he was on Peaky Blinders? I didn't see him watch the match once! Just making hand gestures at a group of 3 or 4 Leicester fans lol

A few of us are being a bit precious here.

Millwall have a higher % of hooligans than clubs such as Notts County and Norwich.   Always have; always will.    It's what it is ... a club based in and around Deptford/Bermondsey/Lewisham.   Just deal with it.

But at least it's one of the few clubs that has not been completely sanitised and sterilised with plastic fans and prawn sandwiches.   It's got lots of "old school" fans.   They are passionate, animated, get utterly worked up and fair play to them.   I wish we were louder at times, unlike yesterday when I though most of us made as much noise as a bag of cement.

ok, I know Millwall shouldn't have come on the pitch at the end, but you've got to have a slight, sneaking admiration for their utter "I don't give a damn attitude".

And it wasn't exactly very threatening.   The old Den in 1985 was a lot scarier, I assure you.   And older boys than me will know doubt say ditto for 1969.

Just to clarify before anyone posts ... I'm not condoning any violence.  I just can't get too excited about it all.

They make a lot of noise but let's face it, support is shit. They would only get 12k in the championship. Always in the shadow of, and smaller than Palace!

“Claudio Ranieri would say it was really poor finishing by them, though. I expect my strikers to be clinical and the difference between Shinji Okazaki [who had two good chances saved by Archer] and Shaun Cummings was that Cummings was clinical.”

Refreshing hearing a manager speak sense :(

No admiration. Pity that some seemed to have taken there kids on as well, which suggest another generation of idiots in the making. There were kids in that stand - seriously!

The amount of banning orders that are hopefully dished out, you would've hoped the CPO by Lewisham council had got the go ahead as none of these lot apparently worth admiration will be able to get in anymore.

They deserve any punishment they get, clearly the club is 'content' with their fan's behaviour and not learning from past mistakes.

Yes! He had the full piece on. Looked like such a knob.

He was marginally better, than the twat who just kept grabbing his knob, ****ing strange man, but your right there must have been several in that corner that saw less than 3 mins of that match, spent the whole game looking at the away end.

I will say tho, whoever managed to get me with a 2p, decent arm that, I was 5 rows from the back. just glad it twated my chest and not my eye.

that reminds me of away days in the early eighties where the game was spent half watching the game and half watching the opposition fans to see who was 'clocking' you so you knew if you were about to be jumped on the way back to the car afterwards.

Having been to the old and new den several times it was always going to be noisy and hostile.....however, in the current era it is such a shame for the real Millwall fans and club owners as a large number were there for no reason other than to cause trouble.

I saw all the subs including Vardy and Was get things thrown at them and the barrage of coins, bottles (plastic) that their fans threw into our lower tier was a flashback to the bad old days....

Sadly we still have a number of donuts who think it is clever but it just spoils the sport.......even my teenage son who went to the Den for the first time said ....some of them are not even watching the game....

Sad, very sad and their owners could stamp it out so easily ....just deal with the idiots who go in the blocks in either side of the away end....clear to see where most of their delinquents were!!

Not to laugh at your misfortune, Bayfox, but this had me howling lol
