Jon25747 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Benny was good but their striker had the beating of Molla way too often.

Not saying that they shouldn't get a chance instead of the usual crap we got served every game but jesus, there is nothing fantastic about their performances. They did well. Any Quality play in Any game against any team, can only be seen as Positive. Again get your knowledge Cap back on straight, history shows us the top teams are always going to have hard times against any lower level teams.So..' it was only/just xxxx , is nonsense + irrelevant That said, after a reasonable first half, both the team and Claudio were abysmal.
jordanlcfc Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Thought Benny was terrific, composed on the ball and looks to always go forward!
SecretPro Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I have never ever seen Benny have a bad game. He was great for us at times in the cup last year and looks just as solid this year. Seems to be a theme that we have decent options not getting a look in. Would love to know the reasoning behind it.

Don't misunderstand me. I'd take Benny over Morgan or Huth any day. Wague not so, because well, one game against a fvcking league one team down to ten men, is not quite the yardstick. And yes, with all due respect, Millwall were shit. They almost didn't exist the first half. We should have won that game even by our shitty standards. What Claudio did the second half is frankly beyond belief. You'd want to lose that game you couldn't do better (or worse).
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 At least there was no hoofball. Benny I like but his clearance led to the goal I think
Spicer Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Benny played well. It was Chillwel who didn't trck the run at the end. Wague was also good but did get beaten a bit to often. He has a dislocated shoulder so could be out for a while. Benny has earned the right to play in the first team, but we all know Morgan and Huth will play. Amartey isn't a Right back. Personally I'd play Amartey and Benny.
cruzFOX Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Look I know we're all pissed off but surely Benny deserves some credit. Much better than huth or Morgan anD it's only his second game all season I think. Wague was decent until his injury. Sure could use him against seville.

I bet if Slimani and Mahrez played they would be fantastic...

dayday Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Benny has to start from now on as for Wague didn't overly impress me.

foxtillidrop Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Does anyone know who the silver haired bloke was - treating Wague's shoulder injury? Has one of Claudio's pals joined the physio team? Have never seen the chap before but he seemed to be taking the lead in terms of attending to Molla's injury (over Rennie's young apprentice and the long serving Rennie - who were also both on the pitch).

He can control a ball, he looks up before passing and he doesn't run about with his feet at the " quarter to three" position like Morgan. He should be in for me! Having a poxy bottle of rum named after you isn't good enough reason for persisting with him.
Wrighty22 Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Can't see Molla playing again this season after dislocating his shoulder.

Probably an actual doctor rather than a Physio.

TMELcfc Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Morgan must only dream of passes that reach an intended target. Benny is awesome, get him in the first 11 now
desertfox2 Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Hate to be the parade rainer but Benny was shocking for their goal he just stood still and was walking back when they broke through. Granted he was good against Derby and apart from that had a reasonable game yesterday but it really grates me seeing how often any of our defenders walk back when someone breaks through. And just stand around like statues.

He let him go.

Stick on Mahrez and hope he comes up with some magic go 3 at the back and try and break them down. But meh what do I know....
purpleronnie Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Benalouane fluffed a pass that led to the goal, including the through ball that went past him. It's fine that he was decent against a team 2 divisions below but his mistake led to a goal.

MC Prussian Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 They were more than solid yesterday, and there's a something promising with both of them. Sadly, Benalouane's positive impression was tainted by being part of the move that led to Millwall's winner. Other than that, he came up with some of the most beautiful and precise long balls you've ever seen from a centre-back. Surprised by how good Wagué was - physical, a fighter, good positioning, no-nonsense approach. What makes me sad is what this says about Huth and Morgan and their impact this season. I have less and less confidence in those two with each passing game.

Chilwell ball watching and let's player come inside... basic Wasyl and chilwell then both bottle making a tackle... Concentration and awareness and their full back doesn't score! We get a replay and are still in the cup!
