Crazy Kop Corner Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I think too many people get caught up with his media persona. He did a great job here is clearly a managers player; aside from Drinky.

We are 18th at the moment, so I'd imagine most of us are already starting to accept that relegation is a strong possibility whichever manager we have. I'd love Pearson back. If we do go down, it wont be because of the 13 (or whatever) games he'll be in charge for, it will be because of the previous 25 (or whatever) games. I'd imagine most people would understand that.
MarkDeVirus Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 He's back to evens now, Hodgson second favourite. Just an English version of Claudio really.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 won us the prem, he'll win us the champions league

Ted Maul Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 The more I think about this, the more I believe that he wouldn't come back under the current circumstances. I think he could put things behind him with the owners- he knows they're good people and did what they had to do at the time. There's no way he would come back and work under Rudkin though. I think it would have to involve a scenario where Rudkin was demoted and Walsh came back as DOF. If that happened, I would be absolutely over the moon. Would Walsh come back for Nige if we offered him DOF? Surely the owners will have their doubts on Rudkin after the last couple of windows?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 See this image of a bridge... Pretty, isn't it? Note how water flows under it. Here's another bridge... The discerning amongst you will be able to tell that it has been burnt.
ARM1968 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Personally I think NP is a massive bellend. However I think he could save our season and certainly built the structure behind the scenes which led to last years miracle. Would the owners go back to him again - I doubt it.
MPH Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 For some reason I am having images of Nigel Pearson sing a version of Mark Morrions return of the Mack calling it ' return of the man' " but I got to tell ya so .. unless ya didn't know, I'm running out of dough.. so let me headbutt ya so!" Susan whelan makes an appearance half way through to tell him To stop lying about his big break... epic!

walkerleeds Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Would love him back but realistically it won't happen. However, if it's true the players want him back, then I think it could be highly likely Shakey gets the gig til the end of the season, particularly if we get a result tonight.
Guest Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 how is it he is even in the running ? Surely if the owners are serious they should be trying to bag someone worthy to manage Leicester City. - Pearson - Hodgeson - Pardew Are not the names you want managing your team Mancini de Boer are however probably don't have it in them to get us out of the mess.
Clever Fox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Don't forget he also has to get past Rudkin who it seems in his last tenure they didn't get see Eye to Eye. There's nobody better in how to set a club up, That's Pearson's strong point. But I don't think he has the Tactical know how for a top top Manager. But then again neither did Ferguson and he done all right.
Ricey Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Nobody really knows what happened in the summer of 2015. For all we know the board got rid because they felt they could do better, as they did when they binned off Pearson the first time. Perhaps they've come to realise the good work he did and are willing to consider a return.
Itsthejoeker Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I thought it was common knowledge that betting odds are as much based around popular bets as they are actual evidence.

Answer that correctly and you'll be the richest person in history. If you knew why people placed bets and could prevent them from doing so given certain intervention you would receive I'm sure a quietening retainer from gambling companies around the globe!
Ozwin Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Get him in and get those sports psychologists back in. I think a lot can be said for those guys.

But people throwing 10k on Pardew for example (shudder) must BELIEVE they have some sort of inside knowledge, 99 times out of 100 probably incorrect info, but potentially money making info all the same. I'm not even sure what my point is now, it's Monday morning...
