I can't see how managers prefer a striker that barely scores goals to one that scores goals, yes Shinji works for the team, but he does nothing more than that and in a team that wants to win they need scorers.

Shinji was immense against Liverpool and we need a guaranteed intensity for the first 60 minutes at least. Slimani may well come on, but to ask that of him on a return from injury will only lead to setbacks in his fitness.
