Only came third in Ballon D'or

Suppose you have to be #1 or #2 to be 'World Class'.

Hahaha ballon d'or organized by French media. Are you surprised? Most biased Ballon dor of all time

Can someone tell me why Huth is banned from the return game, he didn't get any yellow card in the previous four games in the CL.

There are no 'world class' players in the Premier League. The best players, in my opinion, are Sanchez, Coutinho, Kante (of course!), Aguero. That's about it!

Sanchez has like 47 goals in 95 games. Same ratio as Greizmann pretty much.

Top 3 in his position

Let's see, if lewa, Suarez and higuain are the top 3 strikers in the world, players like kun, Costa, zlatan, cavani and others aren't

And Ryan Giggs is a world class player because he won the Sport's Personality of the Year award a couple of years ago!

Higuain, cavani and zlatan are not world class. Big game bottlers.

Oh I see, that's fair for me, you are saving the "world class" term for the elite, can't be mad at that:thumbup:

Tonight was about staying in the tie, anyone could see that. It should be a different style next week.

Credit to Zlatan though for knuckling down at Man Utd and scoring so many goals. Where would they be without him?

We just have a difference of opinion on the definition of 'World Class' then. What you refer to as world class, I would consider footballing legends.

World class to me means a player that shines in a top league, in european competitions and for their international team

i.e... they are some of the best current players in the world. That definition makes more sense to me but each to their own

Who do you think is world class, I can't judge your list until I see who's in it.

For me a world class player is someone that clearly stands out from the rest, and everyone can see this. They always have a habit of playing the right ball, turning up for the big occasions and being the focal point for their team.

Why would we play like that at home? The thing I think you're struggling to understand is tonight was all about keeping ourselves in the tie and giving us a chance at home. Madrid offered little in the second half and offered nothing to be honest that we couldn't cope with. Vardy was very fortunate not to get booked and miss the second leg but now the reigns are off same for Wilf the team literally have nothing to lose. For you to come out and say we were poor is beyond belief it was the game plan and CS made a great tactical change a brace one at that and it paid off! I'am an extremely happy fox tonight remember Madrid have conceded in one of the last 16 in the champs league at home! And you're annoyed we lost 1-0?? Come on see the bigger picture!

Some lad on youth experience by the looks of it!

For giving out energy bars to the players infront of the Atletico technical area. Typical twathead Simeone trying to get anyone sent off he can.

Always liked Atletico because they were the underdogs but him and everyone of his players were trying to get our players booked on every tackle. Scumbags

For example, Maradona leading an average Argentina to the world cup in 1986. The same applies to Zidane in 1998, Cruyff in 1974, van Basten in 1988, Platini in 1984

what difference does it make if its Athletico or Rotherham? it dosen't stop you pressing and closing down the opponent ... we should have pressed them when they had the ball like we did to Liverpool a few games ago... instead we let them do it to us, we gave them way to much time on the ball and they gave us none.. i think it is you that doesn't understand football... although i will admit when we did press them they did get very lucky with the second balls and rebounds finding their men.

Slightly easier to press all match in England against a piss poor Liverpool in March as opposed to a very decent Atletico in Madrid in April.
