Why would we play like that at home? The thing I think you're struggling to understand is tonight was all about keeping ourselves in the tie and giving us a chance at home. Madrid offered little in the second half and offered nothing to be honest that we couldn't cope with. Vardy was very fortunate not to get booked and miss the second leg but now the reigns are off same for Wilf the team literally have nothing to lose. For you to come out and say we were poor is beyond belief it was the game plan and CS made a great tactical change a brace one at that and it paid off! I'am an extremely happy fox tonight remember Madrid have conceded in one of the last 16 in the champs league at home! And you're annoyed we lost 1-0?? Come on see the bigger picture!

When i read what you said i became very optimistic suddenly, nice.

There are no 'world class' players in the Premier League. The best players, in my opinion, are Sanchez, Coutinho, Kante (of course!), Aguero. That's about it!

Grissleman is supposedly World class and he couldn't score from open play against Benny

i'm not annoyed we lost... i'm annoyed we made it easier for them by sitting back and letting them come at us wave after wave.

for us to even have a chance at home the team will have to play polar opposite.. more of the same won't cut it... id rather we went all out and lose rather that defend and invite them onto us all match and still lose

I guess i'd class in their time... the likes of Messi / Ronaldo to be worldies.. Don't really see anyone about right now that can play quite to their standard. but thats just my opinion.

I would class them as legends. World class to me refers to players who are the best in their league and the best in their positions compared to current players in the world.

Kante for example is a world class player as a defensive midfielder. Messi is a footballing legend.

Everyone seems to have different definitions for 'World Class'. I guess what I would call world class, is what some would call 'very good' players

Sat with their fans tonight - they were very frustrated.

Apart from the dodgy pen I didn't feel too concerned.

We did **** all up front.  Need to come out and attack them on Tuesday night

Agree that it won't be easy, but we have a chance. I have to say I was underwhelmed by them tonight. In recent years, I have admired their tenacity and the underdog tag that they have playing second fiddle to Real, but didn't see anything particularly convincing. Same sort of feeling I had about Sevilla - apparently a really great team (according to the media hype) but were, frankly, mediocre

Agree on that, seemed to have a lack  of ideas, for a top 4 side.

But they, in this their new era started off like Leicester...Maybe like us they dont have too much choice.

It seems their favourite tactic, is to show and shout for imaginary cards...

Tonight they lost any feeling and sympathy, I ever had for their new make-up.

Maybe they looked below par because our team did such a  good job on them.

This. Plus we didn't commit anything to attack really. Doesn't matter how good you are, it is very difficult to break down a team that has 9 outfield players always behind the ball and crowding you out.

Also shouldnt take away from the fact that Benny and Huth were sensational tonight. Atletico definietly took foot off the gas after they scored too as they were happy with the 1-0.

the best tactic tonight was athletico watering the pitch before kickoff.. which allowed torres to slip instead of score

There was quite a lot of slippage going on, both teams.

Post match talksh!te fat jason cundy saying today's result not great. He's so biased against us it's unreal. Ok so we didn't  get an away goal, we still have a decent chance at home.

He's talking like we been done 3-0 ...

Just listened to a bit of that show in the car. Absolutely awful hosts. Who's the other one, Andy Goldstein?

Just two grown men acting like petulant children. Their argument was that they don't care if Leicester won the Champions League or would rather any other team won it because their teams aren't in the competition. There's no logic to that. I get Arsenal fans not wanting Spurs to progress and vice versa, and I get fierce rivals not wanting each other to succeed. But, wow!

I've watched the Champions League for years. I grew up hating Man Utd because everyone was a fan of theirs, precisely because they were successful. But I still wanted them to do well in Europe, and that win in the final against Bayern was amazing! Liverpool in Istanbul against Milan was incredible as well.

I just don't subscribe to the notion that you have to hate or have contempt for every team apart from your own. Being pleased for a good club from your homeland, or for an underdog, or for an unlikely success story doesn't make you less of a fan than the team you actually support. You're not piggybacking on other clubs' success. You're actually showing yoursrlf to be a gracious human being with respect for people of different tribes.

Those two on TalkSport tonight are just a pair of contemptible gobsh!tes.

People calling us out for 'not attacking' clearly have some deluded opinion about how 'great we are' because we knocked out Sevilla.....who have a worse record in the Champions league than we do.

In my opinion we needed to be more defensive, especially after we weathered the early storm.

The 1-0 has killed the tie for me.

Atletico were not 'poor', they played to achieve a 1-0 and they got it.

If we 'go for it' in the first 15 at home....we will be 2/3 goals down on the night. We need to play like we did tonight, hoping something breaks for us, as it did for Atleti tonight.....or go for it with 10 mins to go.

Crystal Palace on saturday, no Huth on Tuesday. Holy crap Shakey must be stressing the f out

Do we have any news on Morgan? Surely he can play! He's had enough rest now. He did look like he had put on a few pounds in his suit though lol

If not, has to be Amartey. Was in the team of the tournament at AFCON at CB and is a better option than Wasil. Start him there against Palace with Huth and lets see how he does

Thought Danny made a huge error by charging in for that ball like that and allowing Griezmann all that space to break. That is the one occassion where I see you point on being more defensive but I disagree that 1-0 is a bad result. We only need to score first against them on tuesday and it is game on at 1-1. Keep them quiet and look to get a winner. Of course if they score then we will have a huge job on our hands but after seeing how good our back 4 were tonight, under such immense pressure, I am confident we can prevent them from scoring at the King Power.

Game on I say!

Why did someone get sent off from our bench, couldnt work out if it was coaching staff or an academy player?

One of our coaches / backroom staff came around to the other side of the pitch with a drink or energy gel for Albrighton. Could have been for that?

Love how all the officials saw that but couldn't see Albrighton's tackle was outside the box.  *****.

I have a cunning solution.

The off switch.

I'm seeing much confidence. I was in the stadium and I saw a so different match. Leicester played in a very conservative way and didn't even have a small chance of scoring. 1-0 is always a bad result in UCL. Vardy is a top player but he can't do everything. KP will create a hard atmosphere for Atleti but I think some of you underestimate the Atleti's strong. I said when I registed and I return to say ATLETI IS NOT SEVILLA. Someone has said that with a 0-0 in the last thirty minutes Atleti would get nervious, I recomend you to see the Bayern-Atleti in the Allianz.. I have laught when another one has compared Liverpool with Atleti:D I think there's some arrogance with english football, it's enough to se how many english teams used to be in quarterfinals.. We'll see what happens in KP but i wish you a great future, you are a very genuine team!
