He then comes into a huge game like to tonight with immense pressure against one of the best teams in the world and gives a MOTM peformance like that. Just mind boggling. I know he had a mare at Everton and I all of a sudden doubted him for tonight, but wow. Deserves so much credit for tonight and now we know he has that ability, he has to stay next season.

Typical twathead Simeone trying to get anyone sent off he can. Always liked Atletico because they were the underdogs but him and everyone of his players were trying to get our players booked on every tackle. Scumbags Not disagreeing that they're scumbags - there's almost a dastardly charm about it when your own teams not on the receiving end. That said, our guy had gone all the way around the edge of the pitch to the far touchlune to get something to Marc Albrighton, so was considerably outside the technical area!

Commentators said it was for standing infront of Atletico's box given out energy bars.
Twitcher Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Who's Kergower? According to Lee Dixon King came on for him. Related to D Gower? No credit from Keane for performance and result - miserable Forest git

HybridFox Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Wow how bad must Atletico be to only beat us 1-0 with the referee and his officials on their payroll?! Jokes aside, we can win this! First goal will be crucial though. And lets hope Big Wes is back too
Torten Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 You don't realise how shithouse Atletico are until you play them
jim5000 Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 A moral 0-0. Apart from the penalty that shouldn't have been given and the first 15 minutes, they didn't really trouble us. It will be the toughest game for a long time at home, and we will have to attack to get that goal, potentially playing into their hands, but the King Power is a special place and we are guaranteed at least one more great European night. Thank you Shakespeare
Grewks Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 All those saying it would be 0-0 without the penalty clearly don't understand the way Atleti play. I'm not saying had they not got the penalty they would've still won the game....but they would have added far more tempo in the match. As soon as the game went 1-0, Atleti didn't want to score again as long as they kept us out. Tonight was the perfect performance by Atleti, and the likes of Bayern and Dortmund could learn a lot from them.
Ric Flair Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 We'll be one horrible horrible team to play against next Tuesday. Wise up to that Argentinian pig an'all, we've got him sussed. Never been more proud of our boys than tonight. We'll leave no stone unturned next week. It's on.
Tuna Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Lets be honest who wouldn't have taken a 1-0 reverse at the start of the day? We've kept the tie going and that's fantastic. Atletico ran out of steam towards the end of the game today and we shouldn't fear them. We defended like Spartans. Genuinely feel we can spring an upset at our place.
HighPeakFox Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Glad to see some positivity. We just lost narrowly to a very very good team on their own patch.

Made a great change at half-time with the tactical switch and extra midfielder, which took Griezmann completely out of the game. I thought he was brave taken Vardy off and it was the right decision. Perhaps would have liked to have seen Gray but I understand why he wanted to keep it tight and settle for the 1-0 if possible. Did himself no harm for getting the job full-time. Glad he spoke to the ref. Was a disgraceful decision. Silly from Albrighton as he could have ran alongside him instead but you can't justify a decision like that. Kasper was sulking badly in his interview

I also think we can be a danger from set plays and crosses. Even Fuch's throws caused them some issues. I would try to keep it tight at the back but look to pass better and try to pick up some corners and free kicks and get Albrighton and Mahrez crossing whenever possible with Slimani or Ulloa coming on earlier to try get on the end of one
Matt Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 I'll take that, they were a level above us but think we played fairly well, bit gutted we didn't get an away goal but I think we can score 2 at home, it's just a question of can we keep a clean sheet?! From where I was sat I called peno, I thought it was well inside the box, looking at replays and stills it was. I where near inside! Unfortunately I thought the Leicester support was pretty poor, hardly heard them and I was sat a block away from them! Maybe it had something to do with being battered before hand.
chapero82 Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Has anybody else forgot how good Riyad is? He just doesn't try any tricks anymore
RonnieTodger Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Fantastic day/night. Went expecting to watch the game in a bar and ended up with a ticket in the Leicester end. Shame about the penalty decision, but I certainly would've taken a 1 goal deficit going into the second leg.
VLC86 Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Great few days in a stunning city and a top result. They will be fuming that they only managed 1 nil and we contained them very well. On 90 minutes my phone goes mental and turns out I was caught biting my nails by the cameras ffs.
HybridFox Posted 12 April 2017 Posted 12 April 2017 Should also say kudos to our players for generally keeping their cool on the pitch. With some of those ref decisions, it could have easily boiled over. I thought it was a smart decision to take Vardy off too with him one booking away. He can do some real damage in the second leg and hopefully we see him in full-pest mode
lee7 Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Did well to limit them to literally nothing other than the penalty and the odd 30 yarder! I would've liked to have seen us create more chances but as others have said I'll take 1-0 going back to our place. Although unlike Sevilla these won't roll over when we play them next week. They're extremely well drilled and defensively sound. Some of the refereeing decisions were horrendous. Hopefully a better performance from the ref in the next leg.
bridport007 Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Goalie?,,,,Average Torres?,,,,Shit! Griezmann...Lightweight....Overrated Don't fear these, they were shit!!!
brucey Posted 13 April 2017 Posted 13 April 2017 Our players will be absolutely fuming. Fire in their bellies.. they will be dangerous Only wish we could postpone the Palace match, an unwelcome distraction and likely loss (please rest everyone Shakey)
