Who do you want Summer 2017

Surely Chelsea can't need 25 centre backs like at the moment? I'm sure we could at least loan Zouma, Ake or Christensen ?

Problem is they don't want to sell any of them as they see all 3 as the future at there back under Conte. Only listening to loan deals from what I've heard or deals that include relatively low buy back clauses.

Sky sports have reported that George Boyd is to leave Burnley this summer on a free transfer.

Would anyone take him?

Thoughts?

Rudkin probably :(

What a vile suggestion... released by BURNLEY yet your debating having him here lol

Never said I wanted him here.

Just wanted thoughts on him.

Andrew Robertson. Very good going forward & I think he can be converted into a LW

I think LB is our strongest position so wouldn't be looking to add to it but if we did go down the route of a LB/LW hybrid, he would be a good shout but an even better one would be Tierney from Celtic. That boy is going places, he's going to be a top player and even at 19 I would start him over Robertson.

Is he? I called that one then. I'd have liked him for us

Given that it's now virtually certain Michael Keane won't be going to Man U (which is where he was 'nailed on' to go by most sources 2-3 weeks ago), isn't it disappointing that we don't appear to be serious bidders for him?

Only Liverpool (that well known graveyard for CBs - e.g. Lovren) & Everton now being mentioned as suitors, but not us.

Surely worth our while entering the race for him?

Can't see him going Liverpool with his united links, I think we would have a genuine chance of getting him if we pulled our finger out, especially with him knowing a few of our lads

Do you really reckon he'd turn down a move to Liverpool? I don't. There's no loyalty in football anyway and United clearly chose to pay more for Lindelof than purchase Keane anyway. He'd jump at the chance I personally think

It'd be like kingy moving to forest I just couldn't see Keane going there if he had other decent offers on the table

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration but still ?

Sorry mate have to disagree, but can see your point. Surely though, thinking from your viewpoint, Keane might think Utd choosing to buy a more expensive player, on more wages, from a foreign league rather than buy him, a player they know very well and has had a great season in the prem is a slap in the face? Just a thought.

I'm surprised there's so much talk of Smalling tbh. The last time United were good, he was a squad player at best. Over the last four years when Smalling has played more they've only finished top four once, he's regularly been lambasted and he's never been great for England. Add to that the fact he'd immediately come in as one of, if not the highest earner, I'm not convinced it is a great move.

Wasn't he lauded as one of their better players during 15/16? A season during which he had an absolute stormer at our place.

United weren't particularly great that season under Van Gaal though.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's an upgrade on Wes, Huth and #YB29, but I don't think he's brilliant, or worth the inevitable packet we'd have to pay in wages.

IF we don't succeed with our pursuit for Sigurdsson I would love us to make a move for either Hakim Ziyech or Hakan Calhanoglu.

Good shouts! If Mahrez leaves, would love both of them here!

Have we given up signing another right back? Apart from that the back line seems fairly decent.

Providing Barnes gets int the first team and can play in central midfield it's him and Drinky as creative midfielders with King as a backup. Then it's Ndidi and Mendy as defensive midfielders.

If Mahrez leaves we then have Albrighton, Gray or Musa on the wings.

Shinji's still essential unless we change our tactics and strengthen our weakness when teams go through the centre of the park, and we have Vardy and Slimani. And maybe Musa if he comes good this season.

Definitely a right back. A creative midfielder unless Barnes comes good. A defensive midfielder unless Mendy comes good. A winger to replace Mahrez.

I'm sorry but Drinkwater is not a creative midfielder.
