Harry - LCFC Posted 7 June 2017 Share Posted 7 June 2017 Thanks for the quiz, @Alf Bentley. I recall being amused by the one you did for the 2015 election! Two corrections though: Firstly, Vince Cable isn't currently an MP so he can't lose his seat, and also Lewes is held by the Conservatives at present! Look forward to totting up the scores on Friday. Cheers, Harry. I've amended my Lewes error (had been a LD seat, but taken by the Tories in 2015, as you say). As KingGTF has pointed out, I did say "fail to win", not "lose" for the list of big names. I'm actually not sure any of them are currently MPs, are they? Once parliament is dissolved, even serving MPs become candidates (if reselected), don't they? I'm being pedantic, of course...

Webbo Posted 8 June 2017 Share Posted 8 June 2017 2 minutes ago, theessexfox said: How is the majority calculated? I know it's not the amount they get over 326, so what does majority actually mean? There are 650 seats so the majority is the amount over half, 325. If you got 350 seats you'd have a 25 seat majority.
