Would you have paid £32m for Kante, as Chelsea did, or would refuse the opportunity as he was bought for only  £5.5m a year earlier?

That said it it does sound a lot of money.

We're Leicester not Chelsea! They can afford **** ups.

I am coming to a conclusion that we are ran by idiots. Seriously, Vichai, happy to apply for any board member role. It doesn't seem to hard to impress you. Why the **** wasn't this guy bought in January if he is worth £18 million to the scouts now!

Stay away from Kalinic. He is not even worth 3 mil.

He made mistake after mistake in only 6 months in the belgian league.

There are a lot better goalies out there for a lot less.

some goals were really a joke

Have a look on youtube for the mistake he made against The spurs in euro league

He also made a big mistake against Genk in the Euro league so Colley could score.

Really the guy is a joke

Not in the slightest , just bored to the bone with it all.

This seems to be an unlikely story. Firstly, there are no indications Kasper is about to leave. Secondly, the suggested transfer fee is unrealistic-  surely no-one's value can increase six fold in six months even if he was Belgian goalkeeper of the year. He has only played 9 games for Croatia. Thirdly, I cannot believe we would spend £18m on a goalkeeper when it is not a position that particularly needs strengthening in comparison with the need for another central defender or another striker. Finally, if we were willing to overspend on this transfer, it would automatically put up the price of other transfer targets - at a tome we hoping Gibson can be bought for less than £25m (which doesn't seem far off the mark being price Keane went for).

I don't know what you're on about, but he is a great goalkeeper. This bid seems a bit too steep, but Philippe Albert valued him at 15 million euro a couple of weeks ago. The reason Gent got him on the cheap is the fact his transfer to Aston Villa was canceled last summer because he didn't get a work permit. Villa made a 10 million bid last year. He moved to Belgium because that could help his application.

If Kasper does leave I'd rather we went for Hart or Heaton. If we're offering  £18m for this guy we could easily offer £25m for Heaton. Would love Butland but no chance of getting him.

It's taken you 3 years to come to that conclusion?

No. It was just useful to be able to replicate the wording to emphasise the point.

50 odd years old, career assistant manager, did little better than Claudio had been doing (once the new manager bounce had expired) - steadying the ship is not the same as taking us to the next level that we aspire to. He's an uninspired and uninspiring choice who won't be an advantage in attracting the kind of players we should be signing.

Imo, of course.

We were as bad as Sunderland under Ranieri this season and that's no exaggeration. The table during Shakespeare's games had us 6th in the table and that's despite having games in Europe, as well as losing our two first choice centre halves to injury (and the lack of cover I can't put the blame on him either).

I'm not having this. This is your attempt at doing what our fans did when we tried to warn Chelsea about how bad Kante is

Nice bit of casual racism in here. Because he has the same heritage as a player who  didn't play well for us, we must steer clear...

Casual smearing of people as racist more like.  Pathetic!  Grow up!

Ah personal insults as well.... Lovely.

Don't you think that bandying the 'r' word around for no good reason is insulting?

Also hope we don't sign Mbappe this summer, Frank Rolling didn't play well for us either.

You're being a bit harsh there.

Who should we be signing exactly? What I want are good players, doesn't matter what their name is or where they they are from. We signed some of our greatest players ever whilst sat midtable in the championship with Nigel Pearson in charge.

Was Pochettino a name before joining spurs? No. But they signed good players without him being a big name. You sign players by offering what their clubs want and giving them good terms. Managers can factor into it, but the overriding thing is money and are you a good step for their career. Unfortunately several things have put a black mark against our name.

The negative publicity surrounding Ranieri's departure. What's the perception of us out there now? Us flirting with disaster for two seasons out of three. People want to join a stable prem club where they can showcase their talents for a bigger move and where their relegation clause looks unlikely to needed. Mahrez issuing his statement about wanting out, people are wondering about what sort of team we're going to be without probably our highest profile player.

We need to make a statement that we mean business. Everton put the work in early and those things will snowball into convincing playersyou are serious, they aren't "names" particularly, but people are talking about them, they look serious.

We don't look serious at the moment, we don't look ambitious. We look content to sit where we are. That doesn't need to come from hiring a "name" manager. If in the next 7 days we signed Iheanacho and announced a stadium expansion on the horizon, we're suddenly look ambitious. We'd look like a team that wants to go somewhere. (Just an example).

Maguire was a good start, but I was hoping we'd follow it up quickly with another one to gain some traction.
