STUHILL Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Shakey will probably go unchanged but I would like to see us go a bit more adventurous.. ---------------------Kasper---------------- Simpson--Dragovic--Maguire--Fuchs ----------------Silva-----Iborra------------- Mahrez--------Iheanacho------Albrighton ------------------- Vardy----------------------- Obviously this won't happen but maybe a future line-up. On another note, it's such a struggle to pick a starting 11 now from the quality we have. Hate having to leave out Slimani, N'didi and Gray etc We really do have a great looking squad now

Probably rotate Ndidi and Iborra regularly depending on the oppodition. That team looks very strong.
ZeGuy Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 To all who're picking up Silva in their starting XI, even if the FIFA approves the deal, it seems that he won't play until December. Broken rib. Source: Sporting fan in the Adrien Silva thread.

It's a good tormation for a strong team. Iborra is a sound competition to Ndidi and the best of them will start. Gray didn't prove he's a starter but still can be subbed on the wing either for Mahrez or Albrighton like at Old Trafford. Slim can easily come i for either Nacho or Vardy against tough nuts to crack. The times of 4-4-2 with Okazaki as holding striker are over.

A future line-up a strong possibility hopefully

Rigga Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Even with these signings it will be safe safe v Chelsea and we will still be watching last seasons team....bar Maguire..
SuperMike Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 I am really optimistic for the season with the squad that we now have. Such a shame that the fixtures put us up against Arsenal away (ALWAYS LOSE) and Man U away (ALWAYS LOSE). And then, of course, we have Chelsea, the champions, at home! I can't say we always lose this one cos there was that one wonderful time..... Mourinho's last game.... Mahrez...... However - I can't remember EVER beating them other than that! In fact the first City match I ever saw was against Chelsea (1968) and although Mike Stringfellow scored after 5 minutes the match finished 4-1 to them. Mind you - their team did have Bonetti, Osgood, Hollins, Cooke and Tambling - so they weren't half bad! I was sitting on that white wall (with the spikes) between the Main Stand and the small section of terraces which joined the kop. The most amazing thing for me was that the Chelsea fans had 'taken' the kop. There was me (a Luton Town fan) and NOBODY EVER took the Oak Road End !! ........until Leicester, about six years later (I woz there...... .....in blue!!!) HAPPY DAYS.

Time to move on and introduce Iborra/Silva.

I remember us doing the double over them in 00/01 I think. Stan Collymore scored and did a funny celebration at Stamford bridge along with Muzzy and I think we beat them 2-1 at Filbo.

Steve Earle Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Really can't see Silva or Dragovic starting. In fact, can't see Dragovic in the match day squad as Maguire Morgan & Huth will all be ahead of him. Surely though it's time to start Iheanacho? Harsh (a tad) on Shinji, but he's here as a goalscoring upgrade in that position...
ZeGuy Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Kasper Simpson Huth Maguire Fuchs Iborra Mahrez Ndidi Albrighton Nacho Vardy I so much like to see: Kasper Simpson Maguire Fuchs Iborra Mahrez Ndidi Silva Albrighton Nacho Vardy
st albans fox Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 If silva can't play at the moment, why is he currently with the Portuguese national side? Iborra won't be fit in time. Only started light training this week. expect a similar starting line up to united.

Can't see Shakey going with a midfield three with James, Ndidi and Amartey so 4-4-2 it is. With the usual suspects.

Guest Danny Clender Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 Wishful thinking that Silva and Dragovich will go straight into the starting 11. It will be the same team that played against Man Utd. Schmeichel Simpson Maguire Morgan Fuchs Mahrez James Ndidi Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Pressure will be on the starters knowing full well what's on the bench. If its not a win or convincing draw, then for Huddersfield there will be changes. That said, I can't see us losing this game.
Gazza M Posted 2 September 2017 Posted 2 September 2017 We can certainly do well in this if we are on our game and apply ourselves. 4-2-3-1 and try and have a bit more possession. Kasper Simpson Maguire Dragovic Fuchs Ndidi Iborra Gray Mahrez Albrighton Vardy Subs: Hamer, Chilwell, Morgan, Silva, James, Slimani, Iheanacho.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 Can see the team being the same as United and a 2-1 defeat.
