Plus Drinkwater can give Chelsea all the extra information they need on how City are going to play.  Hard to see anything other than a defeat.

I suspect we could all give Chelsea information on the way we are going to play. ?

The whole Silva farce has taken the edge off this for me a little.

Exact opposite for me. It's going to be good talking about things on the pitch.

3-1 win. I really think Chelsea have lost their edge. At home and if the crowd get going, we are a match for anyone. Our starting eleven is top 10 worthy.

I actually used to quite like Conté but his stupid antics when Chelsea score are now becoming embarrassing. His over-the-top orgasmic celebrations appear to be as much to wind up the opposition bench as they are to acknowledge his teams scoring prowess. Someone should have a quiet word before he gets lamped.

We know, shakey knows we are going to get beat, so please shakey don't try and defend for 90 minutes, high press and have a go, at least we get beat with a bit of hope, not just waiting for the defensive mistake that we know will happen.

As someone suggested elsewhere though, these injuries require some complicity within the club, if fake injuries is what they are - they must know what's going on.

Correct.

It was a total whitewash; Shakes constantly saying he was injured still in press conferences,

when Drinks - it has subsequently  been reported - put in a transfer request a month ago.

They lie through their ****ing teeth. Or should I be diplomatic and say we should take what's said with a pinch of salt!

disagree completely.  Its nice to see a manager with a bit of passion, arrogance and flair.  One that reflects well on the whole team and gives them the spirit and self belief that they can beat anyone.  Standing humbly on the touchline with arms crossed, pulling everyone back for corners, and playing your midfield so far back from your lone striker isn't going to win you naff all.

I don't see a problem with it. Manager celebrates his team scoring, if it gets to the opposition more power to him

Matty James isn't of the right quality to cope with their midfield

Here we go, agendas at play again. News flash, Drinkwater wasn't good enough last season, neither was N'didi against the bigger teams.

Why the flying **** people have to pick out James as the weak link when we've not been good enough in the main against the big teams without Kante pretty much constantly for the last 4 seasons I don't know.

Who do we have in the central midfield? Is Iborra still injured?

It's looking more and more likely to be Ndidi and Amartey/King/James

And tbh, i don't trust any of the three.

Leicester player not good enough to dominate Kante and Fabregas. Who'd have thought?

80% of the team are weak links against the big teams because they aren't good enough to combat them, like everyone else in the league... hence them all being top 6 and us not.

We've been spoilt with the title win season that we did so well against them, because people think it should happen all the time, when it just doesn't happen like that in the main. Back in the day anything against the top teams was a bonus, now half the people on here act like they expect something out of all these games.

Title win season + 1/4 finals of UCL. Don't you think that such expectations are bound to happen?

I do agree that passion is good. But, really, have you seen the antics and the stupid faces he pulls? - its like he's having some sort of seizure / fit. Passion - great; but ridiculous, over-the-top buffoonery - just plain embarrassing.

It shouldn't, because our success was never built on having the best players. There is only so long you can keep using the same tactics and others don't begin to combat them.
