- Danny Drinkwater signs for Chelsea for LCFC record fee
- The midfielder played a total of 217 times for Leicester City since signing from Manchester United in 2012
- He lifted the Premier League and Championship trophies as a Leicester City player

The popular 27-year-old joined the Foxes from Manchester United in January 2012 and went on to make 217 appearances for the Club in a period that saw him play key roles both Championship and Premier League-winning campaigns.

Leicester City wishes to express its gratitude to Danny for his contribution to the team’s achievements over the past five years, as he leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the Football Club.

Thanks for everything Danny, him and Kante were imperious in 15/16. Think we've got as good a replacement in Silva. Reckon Drinky will be out on loan this time next year.
