Yeah it’s crazy the price of dogs. Luckily my Nigel is 4 now so I got him when they were at an acceptable value. No wonder there’s a lot

of dog thefts atm.

That's a great name to be fair.

I don’t know if this is unpopular but cats are so shit. Who would want to own a cat? Why get a pet that doesn’t like you, doesn’t do anything, adds no value to your life (not funny, can’t walk them, can’t teach them tricks etc). Dogs are so much better it’s not even a debate. Also some cats just walk around outside and do whatever they want. You then see posters on lampposts saying “lost cat” yeah no shit it’s prob been run over on one of its lone walks through the streets.

You used to be cool.

Sorry I must be thinking of your dog.

Ahh thanks for mentioning him. He is cool and dogs are great. He also seems to hate cats.

Both very useful but for me, cats are my favourite do to a few reasons. Them being Low-maintenance is by far the deal breaker. Just leave the window open for a cat if you can't look after it 24/7 and you pretty much done your job.

cats are in no way as loyal as dogs, But the kind of unconditional loyalty most dogs exhibit towards their owners is honestly a bit off-putting. It's one thing to have a guard-dog for your house or farm, but to have them as just "pets"? No thank you.

them being able to function without needing people to look after them is just fantastic.

My dog is hilarious, way better than my kids and wife who are mostly shit. I love taking him everywhere with me, even if he can be knob at times, it’s usually funny.

Cats are boring by comparison, snidey little bastards.

I hope you never split up with the Mrs, this post means you're seeing the kids for a few hours every other weekend.

On the positive side, you've totally got custody of the dog, I guess that's all that matters lol

Would happily swap both kids and wife for third dog.

Edit: must be a proper size dog that doesn’t yap. Not interested in anything with -oodle in its name.

Other edit: lacking a dog, would consider a trade for a football, a few tins of tuna (spring water not brine), or some VHS tapes.

You can keep your cockerpoo too

Crazy the amount of Cockerpoo's that are around in recent years, the fashion dog for most families however they are a pain to train and overexcited the amount of people i've seen who cannot control them is unreal.

Not wanting to get into a debate as I love both cats and dogs but cats definitely get a rough reputation for not liking you. Our cats will come and put their arms(paws) around your next and go to sleep for hours.

If my youngest son is crying one of the cats will come and meow loudly next to him rubbing around him until he stops.

Love dogs too though, would have got one in the last couple of years if they weren't so expensive!

I like both too but cats tend to run off when burglar bill and his mates come to visit ..
