That's literally just wrong. He's had one season there and finished 14th with a newly promoted side. How is that not good enough?

take your pick bro, he wasn’t good enough cos;

we were bittom for a bit but then got better and stayed up

he told a fan to fu ck off

he got sacked and then not sacked

he called a journalist an ostrich

all these things show he did nothing good for the club imho

We were bottom for quite a big bit. If he'd been sacked at Xmas nobody could have said it was unfair. He also strangled a player on the touch line. He was ridiculously touchy and not able to cope with the attention of the world media.

I don't hate. I quite liked his Sergeant Major persona. I watched the Belgian match last and it was good to see him pacing up and down the touchline. He's had his time, he blew it, time to move on.

he didn’t really blow it though did he? that ladyboy blew his son and that’s why he’s not still here, and now we would be better off with him back.

I think we have different definitions of strangling. It's like saying a high five is someone slapping the other person.

His interviews were awkward as hell at times though haha. Though it was refreshing to hear a manager not sounding like a robot simpleton rolling out the same boring cliches every time.

I loved his prickly stance with the media. They're leeches who try to engineer situations to suit their angle and generate stories and deserve contempt much of the time.

He gave genuine sports journalists a lot of time and some very insightful interviews.

I just wish he’d have punched Pat Murphy square on the nose, then he’d have my upmost respect

The club is already approaching laughing stock territory, so hiring Pearson back would square things off nicely.

Did great in the lower leagues but then got himself sacked by his total wallyness.

We then get a manager in ranieri who is a massive upgrade and wins the league. Pearsons foundations yeah i get it but ranieri won it.

We then make lots of internal promotions and the club gets weaker. Even the walsh recommended signings are crap at the end and rudkin a disaster.

We publically back our best ever manager then sack him two weeks later while the little dweeb players insist on playing 442 and playing it badly.

We appoint shakespeare as a cop out after his inevitable honeymoon that every manager has thanks to the players cementing the idea they are dickheads by "reacting" to media criticism by actually trying in the immediate aftermath of ranieri leaving.

They then get comfortable while the hierrarchy sign a load of players that the manager doesnt play or we cant even register on time ffs while the pearson protege cant muster any kind of tactical foundation whatsoever.

And then to cap it off the man who could lead us forward, a team who won the title season before last goes back to a manager who fvcked derby up in 2 months and couldnt get any other decent jobs in Pearson who we sacked and then improved x10 afterwards.

Absolute madness this club. Fast becoming a joke.

Now list What Ferguson , Wenger,Mourhino have in their historonics away from the playing field, or any Bayern manager..etc, etc

Sorry ,for me Bitchy, pathetic, downright irrelevant arguments, and useless statements for the football world...

Others think this way, but shows total lack of knowledge of top managers historonics, through YEARS of the game including,

the s o called 'gentlemen' periods....Like using a club from plasterboard.to beat someone overcthe head with

Even Bobby Robson  and Greenwood had their moments. Shankley, Mee, Mercer, Beckenbauer, far from angels, then 2 certain

angels in Revie and Clough....NPearsons antics....Some should stop trying to ride the High hoss of hypocrosy...

Why is nige held as a "god" over ranieri?

All nige's success is lower league. Hes also a moron.

He did build a great team no doubt and did an excellent job but ranieri won something klopp, benitez, van gaal, pochettino, all great managers havent done and won the biggest trophy we will ever win.

What resonates with fans is he is english, looks hard, has no respect for media people, wears a tracksuit and swears.

Cos even in spite of building a good team here his footballing achievements dont amount to much in his career and hes been scratching around for any kind of job.

Yet ranieri is talked about by many as some kind of twat which is totally illogical

Hardly mate.

Pearson won two lower leagues and built a good team but ranners has had a better career and won the league.

We should look at some of ranners calibre to lead the team if the club has ambition because theyre better than pearson results prove it

I also reckon a lot of leicester fans pigeon hole the club in that we should finish between say 8th and 14th in the league and so when someone massively overachieves its just written off as a fluke and not given the credit it deserves.

Its almost like no one remembers the title win because it shouldnt have happened.

We should have a manager getting us finishing 14th because thats what leicester should be.

Pearson built the club up, twice. I'm not just talking about building "a good team" I'm talking about behind the scenes too. The scouting system he and Walsh built, we were doing things before other clubs. We picked up players for nothing prices and they've turned into great players, even now our best players are from our Championship days.

I agree Ranieri's calibre is much better (I mean, the man has managed Juventus one of the biggest and greatest clubs in the World) but he took advantage of the platform already in place. Take nothing away from Ranieri because even with that platform he should have been nowhere near the top 4 with Leicester City but as soon as he started changing things is when it all turned. And he couldn't get us out of a mess, where as Pearson could.

I fear the knowledge between the owners and board. Who do they go for if they get rid of Shakespeare? Do they even know? .... Not only have they sacked all previous managers but they've got a weird record for me. Sousa and Sven were big names which didn't work, Ranieri was a big name which worked but as much as a gamble as Sven was, while Pearson and Shakespeare were known at the club. We don't seem to have any football knowledge on our board that would suggest they'll make a good decision next.

a man  serves the club, creates one of the best eras at our club.

Rebuilds a business in desperate situation with backing of the owners.

one of a few personalities that could of bought it off..Got  ALL, repeat ALL fans in the

townsquare, singing 'theres only one Nigel Pearson'...

Then the dregs, the judases, the ungratefull crawl out of their holes, just to have their frustrated failing lives,

given some anonymous cringy negative statements a meaning. Its not even clever or intelligent conversation,

coming from withinside the city fan base, make it worse than any shitty journalist attempt to debunk, debalance and discredit

our clubs small and humble success under that man. Hes no God , I am no Pearsonite, but he deserves better than these

spitefull statements and unnecessary conspiracy on self proclaimed Pearsons poor  antics debates.

None of you will change, you believe he is fair game, some posts show consistency in throwing out their own lives envious

approach towards other peoples careers...Its not a platform for intellectual debate, but spitefull for its ownsake....

Doesn’t sound like you do. I’m not sure he should come back either but I’m not sure we could do much better to be honest. People thinking we’re gonna get Ancelotti or Eddie Howe are living in a dream world.

The club was always in safe hands with Pearson and his team and as @Fox92 said that didn’t just involve buying players. The sports science team they had was immense, the scouting team picked players to fit our style instead of panic buying a load of crap like we do now. Everyone seemed to be pulling in the same direction for the good of the club. Can you honestly say that is the case now or last season?

We can get a manager who does all that and is a better manager.

And IMO ranieri is better its hard to argue otherwise.

But no one seems to acknowledge this. If Ranieri was available having just won the league at Nantes and not managed us he wouldnt be wanted. Despite achieving much more.

Thats whats hard to understand. Lack of respect for someone achieving a lot more

Ranieri, because of his management during the title year, will always be reviered, and his press and media conferences,

gives him rightly legend status.I wont debunk or destroy the man.

But his dismantling of the successfull set-up,

Coaching, medical, scouting and backroom staff, I cant understand. IT didnt work, his stubborness actually failed us

more than that of Pearsons, karma nor fate deemed it fit, for his star to shine Longer than 1 superb season and half of

a turgid, poor performances season.

Leaving us the fans and even himself gobsmacked on such a negative turn around.

12th with good, decent performances would of kept him in the job, and us all happy, and  flapping for more.

The teams negative indifference and failure to intigrate the new boys, to hold a positive 12th, led to his eventual downfall.

Pearson and Ranieri memories , I will always hold With a respect and in admiration, for different reasons...

They both belong to the top managers who served this club, imo top 4..

What 'resonates' for a generation of fans is the manager what pulled their club from the utter depths and made them respectable again.

For lads of my generation including myself, we were a bit too young to enjoy the O'Neill years. The team we watched were utter toilet from then on. We had jokers, idiots and competent managers as we grew up. At the same time, the club descended through the divisions. Then Pearson pops up - brings glory, brings organisation, speaks with authority and appears loved by the players.

Of course, there's a respect there for Ranieri too. Absolutely. You are the poster whose brought Claudio into the debate.
