Charl91 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Wow. Needed to be done (if true). Shame that it hasn't worked out though. We're rapidly running out of links to our title win
Wdywd Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I'm sorry it ended like this for him but this is 100% the right call.
Guest ttfn Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Yes, we're shit and seemingly not improving but sacking somebody 8 games after appointing them indicates that the problem is as much the administrators as the manager. Terrible timing immediately following an international break too.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Good luck with whatever he does next, seems a great guy and he's enjoyed our best years along with us. Unfortunately not cut out for this level right now.
volpeazzurro Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 He was a bit like Eric Morcambe on the piano, he played all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.

More pathetic stuff from our fans about someone who has been a great servant to the club. Sad it didn't work out and he's been stitched up by Rudkin who I hope also goes. I'd have given him another couple of games, but the owners will have their ear to the ground at the club and things can't have been good for them to act so quickly. All the best Craig... now please god can we do some sodding research this time.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 If true, I'm shocked that the owners acted so quickly.
Wymsey Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Are you all, those who written him off from the start, happy now?..

Nigel Graham Pearson Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Thanks for everything CS. Please take Appleton and Stowelly with you. Fresh start.
Nugent Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I wanted it to happen but I'm shocked it has! Good luck Craig, done a lot for us but sadly well out of his depth.
Vacamion Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Wow. Sad for him, it was probably his one shot at it. Time for sweeping changes.
Babylon Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Stumbling from one mess to another at the moment, god what a mess we are in. No doubt those mucking up transfers and overseeing failing recruitment etc stay in place.
Callabinho Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I think the best way to sum it up is; It’s disappointing he’s had to go like this, but ultimately he had to, it’s not his fault at all they gave him the job, but ultimately it was a mistake by the owners... he did a great job at keeping us up, but ultimately the job was too big for him. He needed more exposure lower down before tackling the premier league, I feel sorry for him.. but hopefully both parties have learned lessons from this, hopefully he moves and thrives elsewhere... thanks for everything Shakey, and good luck with the rest of your career.
Dan Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It's a shame but I think necessary. But those above him have to go too. I make that four managers these have appointed and then sacked. Circus.
Hammo Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It looks like the owners see it as the fans do. We're blessed.

It needs to be said that, on our day, we have quality players playing as a team; Shakespeare just couldn't adopt the right approach of system.
