He can definitely feel hard done by with the Drinkwater / Silva debacle and to a lesser extent the amount of time it took to get the Nacho deal over the line which means he missed a lot of training time. The club is in a mess right now, we need a strong leader to sort it out.
weller54 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Shame.. Nice guy.. But never a PL Manager in a million years... Welcome Fat Sam!
Simi Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I think now is the time to rebuild the backroom staff from top to bottom. We've lost NP, Walsh and Shaky from the head of that setup along with others in the Sport Science department and scouting network. We cannot cling onto that setup forever. We got the absolute max out of it, but now it is looking a tired and abused setup. Time for whoever comes in to give it a fresh approach.

Beechey Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Gutted for him. Really wanted him to succeed. Hope he's able to go and be Pearson's #2 or something at OHL.

Sad it didn't work out and he's been stitched up by Rudkin who I hope also goes. I'd have given him another couple of games, but the owners will have their ear to the ground at the club and things can't have been good for them to act so quickly. All the best Craig... now please god can we do some sodding research this time. More pathetic apologist stuff you mean. Big of you to give him " a couple of more games " talk about delusions of grandeur "
GaelicFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Don’t want to celebrate mans sacking I’m glad he is gone BUT he was pivotal to staying in the league twice and winning the league once ! Thanks Craig I hope Nigel find you a place on the bench in Belgium .. you deserve that
kingfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 A likeable and respectable guy but it just wasn't working out. It's a shame really but I wish him all the best, hopefully a Championship/League 1 club take a punt on him.

I see maybe having 1 or 2 more points but no improvement to playing style or progression of it

lgfualol Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Wonder what the players will think? Bet some are worried they might not automatically get picked by their mate now.

Better than the inevitable unemployment. Most managers stay out of the game for months after a sacking. If he doesn't want the job, I'll have it. Don't know anything about football really, or coaching, either. I'll leave that business to Nige though.

No doubt those mucking up transfers and overseeing failing recruitment etc stay in place. Shakespear stayed in place after Ranieri remember?

EnglishOxide Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Wow! Fair play to the owners. Serious people. Shakey deserved the gig but now it's clear we need sweeping changes at managerial/coaching level.
breadandcheese Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It's a shame that someone who has been such a servant for the club has been so badly let down by the administrators of the club. Thanks for all your hard work and help in bringing such a huge historical moment to our club.
