Monsell1976 Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 Puel is right, cannot just defend against these, will lose anyway and heavily. Go at them and make a game of it, they are the best side around at present, but their defence is probably their only weakness, so get at them. I’d rather lose 6-2 and go at them, than sit deep all game, be frustrated like all the games against the big team this season, and still lose 3-0. We are a team that made the quarter finals of the champions league, so we should respect the big teams, but not give them to much respect, and play to our strengths and give them a run for their money. Either way expect to lose today, but hopefully positive after the game, because we gave a good account of ourselves.

eddylcfc Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 Albrighton in for Shinji and a change of position for sparky

Like you, if we come out of this with a narrow defeat and a promising performance, I won't be too disappointed. I agree that we need to present a threat, not just sit back - but equally, we won't want it to be too open in our half or we could get a hammering. Puel has clearly told them to play more possession football so far. I assume that will continue today - and it could help defensively so that the pressure on our defence isn't too sustained. Second-half performance will be interesting. Last two games, we've played some good football first half, then the performance has fallen off a cliff second half. It might take them time to be able to sustain a more possession-based game for 90 mins. Of course, counter-attacking will still be a big part of our game as we have the players to hurt the opposition on the break, even Man City (Vardy, Mahrez, Gray, Chilwell etc.). Good to hear that Iborra & Chilwell are likely to be fit. Should be a good test of progress so far - but performance matters more than result today, to some extent.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 Was thinking a while ago this would be an easy win for Man City. Woke up this morning feeling strangely optimistic ... don't think it will be a 0-0
justfoxes Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 Hit The Fuchers hard don’t give them much time on the ball and give them another performance like the last 4-2 result on the up at least it’s Kasper in goal and not Ziegler so could be a clean sheet hopefully !! Really hope Puell has got this one right and picks our best team against these Iborra to boss the Midfield another Vardy Hat trick ? be nice to end the day with another 3 points on the board for the Foxes !! COME ON YOU BEAUTIES !! ?
ian_marshall Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 No idea why, but just have a feeling that we'e going to turn these over today and start a bit of a wobbly run for them.

st albans fox Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 If we hadn’t done them last autumn then I would think we have a chance they won’t come with anything other than the right attitude and that makes it doubly hard for us

He's just a fat can of sugar ... anyway, if that's the worst he heard, you did all right. Absolute must to keep them out in the early going IMO. Use the speedsters up front, but limit Maguire's adventurism today.
waylander Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 I'm getting more optimistic as the kick of draws near. Attack attack attack 3-2 ?
whetstonefox Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 Feels like a free hit as long as we are up for it I will be happy. If Man City aren’t at it who knows
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 18 November 2017 Posted 18 November 2017 There was talk of Man City being the next invincibles this week, every time there is talk of another team doing it they lose in their next game or 2 lets hope that continues today.
