This is the second window running where teams have fallen considerably short of the valuation so it sounds to me like those around him aren't particularly competent at generating the level of interest to match his ability and selling him as a product. That I'm afraid isn't a matter for us, simply one he needs to address himself.

Ultimately it's down to the chairman/owner to make the call, I would support his decision regardless. no player is bigger than the club. The timing on this is the only thing that is wrong. My concern is that this could de-stabilize the rest of the season.
