Comical to me that if we lost 5-1 to Barcelona you’d see less theatrics from the simpletons on here, they’re on a similar level to the European elite and outclassed us, It’s really quite straightforward.

With that sort of attitude maybe we should just concede the results against big clubs before even playing them.

Come on, if we gave the game to Barca like we did at City today, we would still be fed up.

Don’t mind being outclassed by a great team, as we are Leicester, but giving it them without giving them a game, they hardly had to try, that’s embarrassing

We lost to Watford and Palace and  FT was talking like it was season over, then we win a game and we’re off to Europe, this forum is obviously for the most part heat of the moment posts but even that considered people on here are truly shocking.

It isn’t ok to concede defeat before it’s happened, it’s ok to admit despite best efforts you’ve lost to a better side.

Multiple individual errors don’t reflect the effort imo :)

The effort is to perform at the best of your ability, like passing to you own players, not giving them soft goals, and then just go through the motions for most of the second half, like I said in the match thread, that had been a boxing match, it would have been stopped at 60 minutes, once a fighter doesn’t return a punches, the towel goes in, just wish we could have used that option

Since when does making an effort stop criticism? Im sure Amartery and king have always tried their hardest.... it hasnt stopped all the abuse on here though.

Regardless how good Man City are, it was 1-1 at half time. Its pretty appalling to finish 5-1. We are not little old Leicester from the Championship any more.

14th biggest turnover in football last year. I think people have a right to vent to a certain degree.

Runs in football are perfectly normal especially for mid table sides. We were in incredible form before our slump to the point where 4th didn’t even look that impossible (we had a thread on it!)

That can’t carry on forever though and the period the OP mentions in the league includes Christmas and New Year when we hardly ever do well lol

Also worth noting that during the ten games we’ve had draws against Man Utd and Chelsea (who we’d have destroyed with 11 men)

So 4 draws and 4 losses.... over the busiest period of the season isn’t the worst really is it!

The most important thing now is putting another mini run together as our next three league games are Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom.

7 points out of that and we’re probably cemented nicely in 7th with a wobbly Burnley sliding down.

I realise the irony of this as I've always tried to defend him but I think Ben Chilwell needs to be taken out of the firing line. I still think he'll make a fine player but his mistakes are costing us goals and the uncertainty you get with him right now is breeding confusion at the back. I also think Amartey being bombed out for Simmo who looks very rusty. I thought we looked more solid with Big Dan in the side. Matty James being selected over Iborra makes no sense either.

I'm not blaming Puel, although Silva for Simpson at half time yesterday was puzzling.

I'm beginning to question the attitude of our players, yesterday I got the feeling they felt like they were beat before they stepped on the pitch. Palace at home and Watford away I got the feeling they thought they just had to turn up. Everton god knows where their minds were. Then there's Chelsea and Swansea where we should have been out of sight by halftime.

I know we're changing the way we play, and seeing the errors we make we're a long way off, but this season is looking quite forgettable, we've only beaten Spurs out of the top six. I'm hoping we stay in the cup for some excitement.

Chilwell looks composed and confident on the ball and makes mistakes, Amartey looks like a rabbit in the headlights but rarely screws up.

The weird thing is I feel more relaxed when Chilwell has the ball, Who knows why?

Why does something always have to gone wrong? We’re in a league where most teams behind the top 6, are inconsistent and can beat each other on any given day. We will have good runs and then some bad runs. We’ll finish at least 10 which is a solid season.

What's frustrating is 7th place is completely up for grabs and we could of been a few clear in that position now had we of not lost silly games. Only consolation is nobody else has had a good run either

Everton are picking up points, and will pass us and Burnley very soon.

Whats more frustrating is everyone saying how shit Everton and West Ham are, they're 1 and 5 points behind us.

Huddersfield away, Palace home, Watford away and Swansea home and glaring errors of our season and simply not good enough.

Said months ago we would go on good runs and bad runs as is the nature of being a midtable side.

That said, Iborra needs to come back into the side starting from Friday.

They've had a couple of home wins but that's what we need to do over the coming weeks particularly as we have Stoke and Bournemouth next two

Agree yes but we're still above those sides so we need to win the next few. No reason why we can't

Regardless off opposition whether considered 'easier' or not first a foremost we need to turn up ourselves, that has been the issue for many games and why we find ourselves in a position where out points advantage has been cut.

We need a serious change in our intensity, and performance over the next two games.

If we continue to play like we have recently, we could easily lose both, stoke fighting for survival, and Bournemouth having a mini rival, we need to up our game massively, as both clubs will see us as a realistic chance of 3 points
