Good, I hoped I had.  What was the point sorry?

Pretty obvious really. The gender of the referee's assistant should not be a factor.

I was at the game and must say all officials were very poor, regardless of gender. Massey is one of the best linos in the Country imo but yesterday they all seemed to be consistently poor.

What decisions did they get particularly wrong? I was in row E so I didn't get the best of views, I'm told that their penalty was a bit soft but other than that I thought they were mostly alright.

Certainly most of the stuff the home fans were booing about I didn't particularly see as all that terrible.

Not sure from their point of view but I was really confused with the amount of bookings we got. Having seen the Ndidi tackle I don’t think it’s another booking either.

I was under the impression that they were booing offsides? There was a moment when they had about three in a row (not that it matters if they are actually offside of course).

Personally I thought they were just generally poor.

You were here probably somewhere near me, I was only on row J, so again, I didn’t have a clue if it was a pen or not.

Why were you confused about the amount of bookings we got though? They were all bookings. The only one I couldn't quite see was Ndidi's second but all the ones in the first half were completely obvious professional fouls.

We were second best and kept hacking them down when they were getting away from us.

Just seemed inconsistent to me. There were a couple times when Mahrez was constantly pulled back but nothing would happen. Maguire won the ball back - second half - you could see the change of direction in the ball but it was pulled up and I think he was booked. I agree we were fouling more than them.

One of theirs got booked for a really obvious pull back on Mahrez.

Only other time I can remember he might have been fouled is when he took an elbow in the back in front of me and was rolling around for ages.

Love him but he was shit yesterday. Looked knackered.

Would like to see her take charge of a game, the standard of Match Refs is in a massive decline, I used to mentor & train the young Refs in Cornwall and we need fresh young officials to be pushed to the top, unfortunately Refs & Assistants are always going to get stick no matter what gender they are.....

She’s clearly good enough to do the job, having a penis isn’t relevant to being qualified to run a line :)

Helps though if ball's go out of play?

But I was referencing to the OP which stated the abuse was "allegedly sexist" which I would be concerned you thought was OK?

Spare your concerns. My words, I repeat MY words - not those of the OP or anyone else - were crystal clear and absolutely DID NOT infer any such thing. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I know from experience that self-righteous moral crusaders have an agenda to follow and are not inclined to apologise to people they have falsely pigeon-holed or offended, but perhaps you would care to make an exception...

So basically in short you are telling us that it was all your fault.

I feel your response has gone a little too far but I appreciate your feedback and will have a wee think about my posts before jumping in.  I would like to think that most people on here know I am a very reasonable, amiable poster and that, if anything, you have gotten slightly overly defensive but apologies if I misunderstood you.  X

I do like to drill a point home to the point of annoyance.  It's why I've only one friend (who is also my brother).  X

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Yeah, apologies also on my part for maybe getting, as you say, a little over-defensive, but I do pride myself on being fair-minded and rational, and it is uncomfortable to feel that I am being bracketed otherwise in an open forum - particularly after making a perfectly reasonable comment.

Anyway, enough of all that.

Come on you Blues!!

To be honest I felt confused as I just asked you a question, I didn't even accuse you anything, and you seemed to take it the wrong way but forums are a hive of misunderstanding and things getting lost in translation so I see how these things happen.  Also, I can be a crushing bore.  Aye, up the Foxes!  X
