Download the app and redo the test 10-15 times.

If you fail it you've not revised, simple as that.

Bit late to the game, but I have the test tomorrow, any tips?

Revise!

Download the click test app. The timing of that can be a bugger and it helped me get to grips with when and for what you should click.

And good luck!

if it's still the same format (50 questions and then Hazard Perception), then it's just common sense for the multiple choice questions and don't go click-happy on the Hazard Perception (they can mark you down for it or void it if you're taking the piss).

Hazard Perception is the bit most people trip up on, make sure to not spam click or click too often for the samne hazard, they'll outright fail you for that, and it's relatively common. Be sure to remember information such as the minimum tyre tread levels in millimeters etc, they ask a lot of those types of questions.

The app perfectly tells you what you need to do with the hazard perception test.

I'd say 85% of it is common sense on the multiple choice section. Just read up and remember things like tyre treads and stopping distances as previously mentioned. Hazard perception can be slightly confusing because potentially anything can be a hazard. My advice is click on the obvious things but don' get click happy in general because apparently that goes against you

I've been driving for 30 years or so...my nephew recently had his theory test coming up and bet me that, as I was old, I couldn't pass the test they do nowadays. Can't refuse a challenge, so I paid my £25 and went and sat the test. It was only as I was half way through that I realised that it might cause me problems if I fail :sweating: and not be allowed to drive...

Anyway, quick revision and I passed it...just.

The theory is common sense with a bit of technical. The hazard spotting I didn't really understand and ended up just clicking the mouse randomly...

Can't see how this post has helped you one little bit...but good luck

I don't even remember doing a theory test!

Best of luck

I passed many moons ago before all this nonsense lol but I do feel it’s unfair that a candidate can pass the hazard test and fail the theory then next time potentially pass the theory and fail the hazard, surely you should be allowed to carry whatever part you pass over, for at least a 6 month period anyway.

I wouldnt stress too much.

I passed a good 13 or 14 years ago, not done anything similar since, but its mostly common sense and the hazard perception, the hazards i had were very obvious.

One was just a wide open country road and a sheep walked out into the road. Another a more urban road and a ball bounces out fro behind a car. that sort of thing.

Probably not going to be as hard as you imagine it will be. But i did this a good while ago, it might be different now

Appreciate everyone's love and feedback, I am going to try my best and see what happens.

Motorway Studs questions are f**king me over though!

Red is edge of the motorway except slip roads and they then go green

between the lanes theyre whatever colour that is, but not red or green

Left hand lane is the driving lane, and the other lanes are overtaking lanes. hence not hogging the middle lane.

Some motorways utilise the hard shoulder sometimes as a driving lane. M6 for example around Walsall, Wednesbury area so you can use it when the signs say its open if your junction is coming up next.

Dont know if thats any help, probably isnt, but good luck for the test!

I love the questions like,

You're driving through a tunnel you should:

- Pap your horn

- Speed up

- Turn your lights on

- Take your seat belt off and take a swig out of your tinnie, then fiddle with the radio

Hazard perception test, when you initially see something you think is a hazard press the button 3 or 4 times 1 a second as you may be seeing the hazard too early and by pressing once you may be too early for the system to see it as a hazard. Like others have said don't go click happy. If you have done practice tests you will see the sort of thing you're looking for.

What about:

You arrive at an incident. A pedestrian has a severe bleeding leg wound. It is not broken and there is nothing in the wound.
What TWO of these should you do?

A - Dab the wound to stop bleeding
B - Keep both legs flat on the ground
C - Apply firm pressure to the wound
D - Raise the leg to lessen bleeding
E - Fetch them a warm drink

You arrive at an incident where someone is suffering from severe burns.
You should

A - apply lotions to the injury
B - burst any blisters
C - remove anything stuck to the burns
D - douse the burns with clean cool non-toxic liquid

So you could potentially not pass your test because you decided to fetch someone a warm drink or rub a bit of sun-cream on a bbq'ed leg.
