He is certainly in the top 3. I think our POTY is Ndidi with Vardy and Maguire fighting it out for second and third.

Ndidi for me was walking it,but post Xmas, indifferent and some  poor form

then Vardy of Late still ticking over and living off scraps, could Nick it.

Or there is Maguire, whos had a tremendous 1st season, mistakes there has Been,

but a few,not of his own making, but other teammates.

I think Vardy has looked shite and lazy for the last 4 games, despite still picking up goals. Yes, you can present the 'no service' argument as usual, but he could try doing a bit of work himself too. Thought he looked abysmal on Saturday, touched the ball about three times and constantly gave it away prior to his goal.

Ndidi for Mahrez and you're spot on!

I struggle with Ndidi. As great as he is in breaking up play and winning the ball back/tackling, he really frustrates me with his passing and opening of the game (getting forward).

Now the last point for me is not a major issue as he's young and got plenty of time to improve on that, become more composed I guess. That's why for me he is outside the Top 3.

For me, Mahrez, even though he may not always have given 100% (or it may seem that way), he has been extremely important for us. Without Mahrez I think we would still be looking over our shoulder a little bit at this stage.

Weirdly I always find his link up player is far better when playing for England, besides the Netherlands game.

But still think personally he's been our best player.

Vardy has spent the season converting from table scraps, rather than his preferred diet, and has still been brilliant.  My choice.  Mahrez has been that rare “something out of nothing” genius -- but this year we have two.

This is why we are miles ahead of Watford as the “best of the rest” in goals scored, and in eighth overall despite letting in a ton.  Ten weeks ago I would have inclined more toward Mahrez or Ndidi, but JV’s goal return has been absurd.

That some of us do not have Maguire (who would be the best player on half the sides in the Prem) in our top three, confirms the “balance” in our squad has become one between two extremes of talent.

I struggle with Ndidi. I like him but his passing is too erratic and sometimes utterly diabolical.

Vardy

Mahrez

Maguire

In that order for me.

First time in a while there is not a clear winner on this. Hard to choose between Ndidi, Vardy, Mahrez and Maguire. All have been great for most of the season and the fact Puel has us below Burnley with those 4 is an absolute horror show.

That looks about right to me

This is going to sound controversial but hear me out. Our current downturn in form is because of Vardy!

So I'm not saying he's been terrible and that's why, I'm saying we do not have a plan B, our main focus of play is Vardy, we're becoming a disjointed team, a team who wants to pass it around and play those intricate passes. The problem is that when we get to the final third of the pitch, unless mahrez has it, we have no other creative play to be able to play vardy in. Therefore we resort to wide balls to Albrighton/Gray/Chilwell or whoever and they just blind cross the ball. Without a plan B (another tall striker ie. Slim or Ulloa like) we struggle when teams close the space at the back for Vardy to run into. It's really not Vardys fault, it's the management and unfortunately the players that we have at our disposal. Let's hope we buy well in the summer to give us that other option. Otherwise I feel sorry for Vardy, he can run around and be a nuisance for defenders all he wants but if they are deep and he doesn't get that accurate ball fed through to him he will struggle.

So anyways our POTY, close between Vardy and Ndidi, I'd have to give it to Ndidi to be fair, he's been immense
